AN: Bet you thought you saw the last of me, huh? I could never leave ya hanging like that. I will be continuing writing, and updating my other stories, so stay on the lookout for that! I feel like this one needs to end, so other ones can open. I hope you all enjoyed, it was a pleasure to write this, and read all of your amazing comments and feedback. This will always be one of my favorite stories.

Christmas was always an exciting time in the Grey-Shepherd household. Friends and family from near and far came to visit, there was definitely a lot of love to go around this time of year. This year was extra special though, because they had a lot of miracles to be thankful for.

"It's crazy to think that I might not have been here this year, if it weren't for Bailey flipping," Meredith said, as she was sitting on their living room couch next to the fireplace, with Derek holding Bailey sitting next to her.

"I know. I couldn't imagine a world without you in it."

"Good thing we don't have to worry about that for a long time huh," she said as she smiled down at Bailey "I get to spoil you and your brother and sister for a long, long time"

Christmas was only a few days away, Meredith and Derek went over the top with it, like they usually do. Christmas was very important to them, and they wanted to make sure their children and everyone else knew that.

The days leading up to Christmas were their favorite days. There was always a rush at the hospital, because people love to fall of ladders, or pull muscles, so it was never a dull moment at work. Once work was over, they got to go home to their babies, and that was the best of it all. The calmness of it, the peacefulness. They lived for it.

"Do you think we do too much," Meredith asked Derek.

"What do you mean, too much," he responded.

"Well, we decorate the outside of this house, that no one can even see. We decorate the inside like its Santa's workshop, and really only Aubrie can understand it. I know we like to make this holiday fun for them, but is it taking away from what this holiday means for us," she asked as she looked around her living room that was decorated from floor to ceiling in white, red, and green.

"I don't think so. We decorate to celebrate what this holiday means to us. We decorate to celebrate how we met, and what that led to. The one in a million chance. So, we have to decorate our house to be like one in a million," he answered back.

"That is the cheesiest thing you have ever said," she laughed.

"It's the truth though, and you know it."

Christmas day came. The Grey-Shepherd house was filled with both of their families and all of their close friends. The kids opened up their presents, Meredith and Derek did Santa presents, but also threw in gifts that were specifically from them, so that it was a little more fun. Their Aunts and Uncles spoiled them as usual, and received more toys than they would ever really need. That's the fun part of being the youngest of the cousins. They were off playing with Derek's sister's kids.

"We know a lot about you two, but I don't think we ever heard the entire story on how you met. Just that you met on a plane," Alex said.

"Well, the story really isn't all that interesting, but if you want it, we are more than happy to share it with you," Meredith said.

"Spill."

"I was flying back here with Brie, and Derek was sitting next to us. He asked me what was bringing me to Seattle, and I told him that I was visiting my mom for Christmas and that I had a job lined up. That's how it all started," Meredith said.

"She was very intriguing to me," Derek said. "She looked like one of those people who had a story about their life that you just wanted to hear. Midway through the flight, we both gave each other  a little glimpse into our lives. When I saw the way she was with Aubrie, I knew I had to get her number and get to know her more. It was definitely attraction at first sight with me."

"Yes, and he helped me with Aubrie at some points in the flight was she was a little fussy too. I knew there was something about him that was special. I knew I couldn't let that get away," Meredith said.

"You could almost call you two meeting a Christmas Miracle," Alex said.

There was a pause, and then Meredith and Derek both looked at each other and said, "Yeah, a Christmas Miracle."
