Depressingly beautiful

Names

It was month 5 of my pregnancy and by now everyone at school knew. At first everyone was really mean but when they found out it was Luke's and he was my boyfriend everyone backed off.

Today I was going to the doctors to find out the gender of my child.

**At the doctors**

"Alright Ms.Hamleton I'm going to put this gel on our stomach, it may be a but cold." the doctor said as he put this cold blue gel on my stomach.

"And this remote here will show everything inside."

As soon as he put the remote on my stomach my.... our baby showed up the screen. Luke squeezed my hand when he saw it.

"Wow, the baby is beautiful."

"Yes it is. Would you like to know what the gender is?"

"Yes!" I shouted quite excitedly. I was so happy to find out what my baby's sex was.

"It's a girl."

I had never been so excited in my life.

"Wow, she's beautiful."

"Yeah, she is." if was the first time Luke had spoke.

He seemed a bit shocked by the whole idea still.

"Ok. Well you will have to come back in another two months and then wait until you're in labor."

"Ok, thank you doctor."

And with that we left

*at home*

"So know we have to choose a name."

"How about Mary?"

"No."

"Georgia?"

"No."

"Cynthia Rose."

"Let's pick good names people!" I was beyond stressed out about this.

"I have an idea. How about we all make a list of our top 3 names and then pick a name out a hat."

"Fine, but if I pick a stupid name I am picking another."

"Deal."

And with that Jane, Jordyn, Luke, my mom and I all put names in a hat.

"Ok, pick one Alexis." Luke said shaking around the hat.

I reached in and picked "Allie. I like it."

"Me too."

"Me three!"

"What do you think Luke?"

"I like it too." he said with a smile.

"So it's decided, her name is Allie!"
