[Harry's P.O.V]
''Harry?'' My grandpa's shaky voice snaps me out of my daydream.
''Yes?''
''I was talking to you and I think you completely ignored that.'' He laughs. ''Am I that boring?''
''No.'' I say. Maybe a little. Okay, yes.
''As I was saying, so I walk into this store..'' He rambles on. ''and he knew EGGsactly why the eggs smashed!'' He laughs so hard he starts choke and my mother hands him a drink.
''Wow,'' I finally say. ''now I know where Ross got that 'sense of humour' from.''
The whole table, including Ross, intensly glare at me and I realise how offensive that might've sounded. To my grandpa, of course, I couldn't care less about Ross' feelings.
''The amazing sense of humour that I wish I had.'' I try to cover it up with a smile but they're all still glaring at me. My grandpa finally breaks into a smile.
''I know, you got yours from your dad,'' He informs. ''he was always so blunt and sarcastic.'' I shift uncomfortably at the mention of my father. He left the house one day and nobody knew where he went.
''Yeah, Harry's like that all the time.'' Gemma beams.
''Gemma's like the only person who understands my sense of humour in this house. Thank you.'' I'm finally more talkative and I high five Gemma from across the table.
''I get your humour.'' My mum tries to defend.
''Come on,'' Gemma rolls her eyes. ''when Harry was being sarcastic and said that chicken stuffing thing that you made was delicious you thought he was being serious!''
''Wait, that was sarcasm?'' My mothers eyes widen and they all burst into laughter on the table. All except one. Ross just stares at the family picture on the wall behind my grandma, his lips sealed.
''If you can excuse me, I have some homework to do.'' Ross dismisses himself from the table.
I knew that he hated me being in a conversation for once, me being talked about. Or maybe he's still 'angry' at me from that night. Either way, I have mutual feelings of annoyance.
I try to ignore Ross' actions and carry on with the conversation. ''But let's admit when I'm not being sarcasitc, my jokes are really funny.''
''No, when you joke it's really lame.'' Gemma admits with a laugh.
I really liked how I was ceasing into this conversation. A few minutes ago, I let out one word answers. I think I've come to the realisation that whatever happened, happened. I can't do anything about it except be careful. Extremely causious and careful.
[Ross' P.O.V]
Harry's being so smug and I hate it. I storm off upstairs. I don't actually have any homework, so I'm just going to lay on my bed and do nothing. By nothing, I mean rethink things and get annoyed.
He's supposed to be just as upset as I am. He's supposed to avoid conversations. Instead, he was being open and my grandparents probably like him more now. They probably think I've grown to be this miserable teenager, which for now, is true.
I wonder if Harry has anything up his sleeves. Maybe the whole thing that was going downstairs was an act? Maybe he made a plan? What am I saying? I had this whole obsessed feeling towards always winning and have all my life. He's already bitten back.
I'm paranoid so I get up to Harry's side of the room. I look around his dusty shelf. God, when does he ever clean it? I could draw something with my finger in that dust but it's filthy. He has a few pieces of paper, overdue homework, appointments he's forgetten about..scattered all around. No sign of anything suspicious.
Harry's not me, I remind myself. He looks like me but he wouldn't do this.
''What are you doing in my side of the room?'' Harry's voice startles me and I jump.
''I was just, er-'' I didn't actually know what to say for once in my life.
''You were?'' He raises one of his eyebrows and crosses his arms, his biceps becoming intimidatingly bigger.
''Looking for that, you know, maths homework.'' I lie. That was a ridiculous excuse.
''Okay,'' Harry clears his throat. ''One, we didn't have any. Two, you'd probably have that so you wouldn't need to look for it with me. And three, you're lying.''
He tracked me down one by one and I wasn't ready to tell him the truth.
''Oh, I was panicking.'' I shrug.
''Yeah, because you didn't find my notebook.'' He purses his lips together and my stomach churns. I don't know whether to be nervous that he knows why I was at his shelf, or at the fact he might even have one.
''I'm not as stupid as you think I am.'' Harry says when I'm silent.
''I know.'' I was being too naive.
''Good.'' He takes his shirt off and replaces it with another one, before walking out of the room.
I hated acting like enemies with him. I know I brought this upon myself, but I was just angry and frustrated. Nobody understands. Soon, this won't be a secret any more, and everyone's going to get the wrong idea of me.
Harry was never as intimidating as he is now. He's always cheerful and it felt weird to be the cause of his angry behaviour. I always knew he had a protective side to him, but it was never unleashed until now. At least now I know more about him, the optimistic side of my brain suggests.

I seem him scruffing at the side of my room and I knew exactly what he was looking for. He was trying to see whether or not I'd do the same thing he did to me. He may be smart at school, but when it comes to logic, I win for once.
He's lucky he wasn't even touched when I walked in there. I just have a good reputation to my grandparents and I don't want to ruin it. I'm always seen as something I'm not and I don't know why. I'd like to see myself as a gentlemen, never have I messed with a girl's feelings, but nobody sees that. Except for Alexis.
We spend the rest of the night laughing, joking around, whilst Ross locked himself upstairs.
''Where's Ross?'' My grandpa croaks.
''In his room.'' I bluntly repy.
''That's one big essay,'' Gemma remarks, stuffing her biscuit into her mouth. I chuckle and shake my head.
''Always studying, good on him.'' My grandma adds in.
Even when Ross isn't here, he's praised. It's annoying. Normally, I'd be happy for my brother, but after such accusations that I had 'ruined his childhood', I can't look at him the same. Normally the jealousy was kept in.
''Harry what are you doing at College?'' My grandpa asks. Why do they always ask this?
''Well, er,'' I bite my lip. ''Music and English.''
I expected a very disappointed reaction, them wanting me to do sciences or maths. Instead, I'm taken off guard.
''Oh yes you told me about your singing.'' My grandpa remembers, nodding his head.
''Gemma told you.'' I correct with a smile.
''That's great, maybe you can write us some songs some time.'' My grandma sips on her tea.
