[Alexis' P.O.V]
I get back inside the house. What did i just do?
This might be a ''little'' date but I know it's going to get bigger and bigger and only break his heart. I just don't know.
''What happened just then?'' Megan asks with a smirk.
''Oh God. You saw?'' I ask, dreading the answer.
''I saw'' She confirms. ''I thought you'd be more into Harry, Ross doesn't seem like your type''
''Well'' I start opening the fridge, searching for something to drink.
''I do like Harry. More than you think'' The sentence made her rays her eyebrows.
''But, Ross likes me and just asked me out. I felt bad for him so-''
''You only said yes because you felt bad for him?!'' She asks, the surprise clear in her voice.
''Yeah it's just, you should see how many times he gets picked on at school for being a ''loner'' and I'm doing him a favour?'' It sounded more like a question than a statement.
I pour the juice into the glass cup and started drinking.
''You're doing him a favour now, but after he finds out, that's not much of a favour'' She says.
''He'd get more humiliated at school once everyone finds out you only did it because you felt bad for him'' She continues.
The juice stops at the top of my throat as I let the truth sink in.
''Well, lets watch some films and eat loads of chocolate. Get your mind off it a bit?'' She asks with a smile.
She can be the most annoying yet amazing sister.
[Harry's P.O.V]
This weekend consisted of Ross being too suspiciously happy, me nagging him to stop singing in the shower, him being suspiciously nice to me and dinner being not so awkward anymore. I don't understand why he's acting like this but I need to find out why. I may sound like a miserable jerk but people can't be this cheerful on a Sunday night.
Monday. Oh how I dread this day. But tomorrow's Monday was different, I was sort of looking forward to it. Tomorrow I'd finally ask the only girl who can make me nervous around her out. We can go mini-golfing, just an excuse to put my arms around her to guide her with the ball. We could get a Mcdonalds drive thru because I know she isn't the 5-course-meal type. We could then watch a comedy film, burst into hysterics and mock our favourite characters, we could chuck popcorn up in the air and try to catch it in our mouths, probably missing everytime.
It could be a good night. Or, it could be a night I lie in bed under a blanket feeling sorry for myself.
''Why are you so smiley?'' My mum asks with a smile, poking my dimple.
Oh dear, I must've looked like an idiot. Just staring at a turned off TV, smiling.
''I just, um'' I didn't really have an explanation.
''Remembered the time when..when I forced you to get on that ride with me in the theme park..and you we're cursing me throughout the whole ride'' My mother didn't seem too convinced.
''That was funny but, how about you tell me the real reason?'' She asks.
''Fine. I remembered the time when you-''
''Harry!'' She interrupts.
She knows me too well. Far too well.
''Okay.'' I give in. ''Im asking out a girl tomorrow''
''OoOoh'' she says in a high tone. ''Who is it?''
''It's a secret'' I whisper and I hear someone coming down the stairs.
[Ross' P.O.V]
I can not wait for tomorrow. I'm literally pacing up and down my room waiting for Monday to come, not because we have science first thing, but because it's my first date.
We could go to a historical museum, I've always been interested in those. Take photographs, put them in a collage. We could have a rant about people who still don't know the difference between ''your'' and ''you're'', don't get me started. Then we could go for a posh Italian restaurant and laugh at how we both don't know how to eat spaghetti.
This is too exciting.
I come downstairs and see Harry and my mum talking, I join them and Harry suddenly stops, changing the subject immediately and gives me his best smile, showing his teeth.
Why is he happy?
It's sort of sad we have to ask eachother this, but it was just, rare in these past few days. We've let a girl interfere with our brotherhood. I sort of miss him teasing me and poking me annoyingly.
But no.
He has to steal every girl I lay my eyes on, this hasn't been the first time either.
[Flashback: year 6]
I pick a flower out of the many near the school building and make my way to Katy. She had her hair in a plat and wore a school summer dress.
I stumble across my own feet and they giggle, pointing fingers at me. It still didn't stop me, I carried on making my way there, I was so close and there Harry was.
''Do you want to play with me?'' He asks Katy, in his sweetest voice.
''Yes, yes!'' She blushes and they run off to the playground, trying to give eachother piggy-backs, playing hop-scotch, playing horsies with the skipping rope.
I clearly remember the moment I dropped the flower and ran into the toilets. I could hear everyone laughing from the outside.
''Poor little Ross! He has nobody to play with!'' A boy shouted.
[End of flashback]
But this isn't going to happen again this time, I've changed and I'm not screwing tomorrow up.
