''Alexis, I don't think you should go,'' My mum tells her and stands up, wiping another tear again.
''What do you mean she can't go?'' I ask before she can even reply.
''I just feel like if you go there, Ross will get worse,'' She tries to put it calmly and Gemma nods. Traitor. ''You know, you've been the.. last of his schemes,''
''I understand-'' Alexis' bottom lip trembles.
''No, she's coming. I can't go by myself, I'll be too..weak.'' I admit. Never would I thought the word ''weak'' would come out of anyone's mouth but Ross'. He was always right, I'm weak. The only source of power I have is attention- which soon will flicker and shut down.
''Harry,'' Gemma warns.
''Gemma,'' I tell her in the same tone.
''You're being really selfish, Harry,'' My mum's voice grows in irritation. ''You're thinking about how you'd feel! Again! Think about your brother, for God's sake!'' Her voice echoes; no longer upset but angry.
I back down and don't say anything, chewing on my inner cheek to stop myself from any attempt. She's broken enough- she doesn't need my outbursts which I can guarantee I'll regret. She's right anyway; Ross sees Alexis and he'll make a scene.
''Harry, just go.'' Alexis tries to smile but it fails and turns into a frown.
I sigh and wrap my long arms around her, rubbing her back in assurance. ''I'll be back soon, I'll tell you everything,'' I promise. My mum and Gemma watch us as if we were a romance film; with eager and emotional eyes.
''I'll take care of your mum, don't worry.'' She assures back. I don't know why, but something tells me it won't end up well if she stays. I ignore my paranoia and walk out of the room I thought I'd be happily having dinner in.

The drive is long. Too long for my liking. The anxiety builds up the closer I get to this place. I finally get to the mental institute when I notice the very large minty green walls that circle around the place, barbed wires at the top of them. I'm already intimidated and I'm not even in there.
I walk into the building and there are large men, I assume security, standing everywhere, in every corner and every corridor you can imagine. They stare me out as the sound of my feet touching the marble floor echoes. This place is so dull, even if you weren't mentally ill and were put here, you would turn sooner or later.
''Can I help?'' The woman in the reception asks me with a smile. How can someone who works here be so cheerful?
''Yes, I need to see my brother.'' I tell her. Her features change from contagiously happy to sympathetic.
''I'm sorry, there's a certain period you can visit.'' She explains and takes her glasses off.
''What? He got put in here,'' I wave my arms around the place. ''Today!''
''I know, but just for safety-''
''Please,'' I plead.
''I don't make the rules, kid, I just go by them.'' Her sweet attitude is flipped around. I can tell the security guards are alarmed and are tensed, ready to snap if anything happens.
''I'm his twin!'' I point at my face. ''It'd be really cruel if you didn't let me see my own twin brother,''
The woman sighs and puts her glasses back on, ''What's his name?''
''Ross, Ross Styles.'' I rush.
Her long manicured fingers tap the keyboard a few times as she examins the computer screen. ''Yes, it does say he's been put in today,'' She gives me a friendly reminder.
