[Alexis' P.O.V]

''Ross, I-'' I begin. I don't know how to explain it, or what to say but he interrupts me anyway.

''Save it.'' He simply says. ''I knew that you'd do this to me! I'm never good enough for anyone am I? It's always Harry!'' He yells and Harry tenses his jaw looking at the both of us.

''What are you talking about?'' Harry furrows his eyebrows.

'' 'Oh, got the science homework to do' '' Ross mocks. ''Bullshit.''

I've never seen him this angry before, he's usually the one everyone gets angry with. He's usually cheerful and bubblying and the fact that I'm the reason to see him the angriest he's ever been pains me.

''Let me explain!'' I yell, silencing him.

''There's nothing to explain. It all seems pretty clear to me.'' He says, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes. ''You just felt bad for me.''

''No. Well, yes. It's just, I didn't want you to feel bad.'' I say, looking at Harry. He was still confused, tugging on his hair, watching us carefully. ''I do like you, Ross. Just-''

''Just not enough.'' He finishes, his face broke my heart. ''You know, if you wanted me to feel less bad then now, you could've just told me from the start instead of leading me on. Leading me on to this date and a museum and wow, I thought you'd be the first girl that was actually different.'' He walks inside, calmer than he was a few moments go, closing the door behind him.

''Wait, so you went on a date with him earlier?'' Harry finally gets the gist. I nod slowly, biting my lip.

''What the hell?'' He looks around. ''Unbelievable.''

''Harry, I didn't want him to feel bad and I really wanted to go with you.'' I almost beg, tears forming in my eyes.

''I think you should go back home now.'' He says calmly, walking down the pathway, back to the house.

As soon as he gets in and closes the door, I see a flash of light and hear the thunder storm before the heavy rain starts pouring. It was like in the movies. I decide to sit on the step outside of the house, getting soaked by the cold rain, trying to think of what to do. Harry and Ross both hate me now, and there's nothing I can do. I played them both.

I can't help but think that maybe if I didn't say yes to Ross, maybe if Harry and I stayed longer, we could've had a kiss in the rain. That's so selfish of me to think, in this moment, when Ross could be broken.

''Alexis?'' My mum says and I turn around. ''What are you doing out here in this rain?''

''Just getting some fresh air.'' I reply, getting up.

''Fresh and freezing air!'' She exclaims. ''You're going to catch a cold!''

I walk in, taking off my now incredibly soggy flats. I take a look in the mirror and the state I was in was almost funny. The mascara down my face, the lipgloss smudged everywhere.

''Tell me what happened?'' My mum asks, and I shake my head, signaling I don't want to talk about it.

''Well, when you do when to talk to me about it I'm always here.'' She gives me a warm smile. ''I'd hug you but you're drenched.''

I go upstairs and take out my pyjamas. I stand in the hot shower hoping it'd wash away my guilt as well.

[Harry's P.O.V]

I walk inside leaving her stand outside, so close to crying. I hated doing that but I just couldn't believe what just happened. I get it, she felt bad for Ross, but what she did made me feel pissed and jealous. Why did Ross ask her anyway?

I walk into our room and we both yell at the same time.

''Why did you ask her?!'' We both pause for a second. ''I did it first!'' We say in sync, again.

''Well that doesn't work does it? Only one of us has to be first!'' Ross yells. How dare he yell at me.

''I asked straight after school!'' I reply.

''I asked Sunday afternoon!'' He yells.

''Would you stop yelling for God's sake, Ross.'' I say in defeat.

''You can't blame me! This isn't the first time you've done this Harry.'' And i know his words are true. But Alexis was different, I've always had something for her.

''You knew I liked Alexis, you're trying to revenge me!'' I try to say it equally as harsh but it doesn't work.

''You were just a coward, I could talk to her but you couldn't.'' He's really starting to get on my nerves now.

''But you know what? You can have her.'' He says, opening his book. ''I know she doesn't like me anyway, so what's the point?''

His words were too good to be true but instead of replying I decide to stay silent. I won. I won't talk to Alexis until Ross calms down a bit. I'm actually considering his feelings for once and it was weird.

He was angry at me and I don't know how long it will take until we finally start acting like actual brothers. We always let things come between us.

Gemma walks into our room. ''I accidentally just overheard your whole conversation'' She blurts out.

''Accidentally?'' I raise my eyebrows at her  lie.

''Well, not exactly. But still. Alexis, our neighbour?'' She asks.

''Yes.'' I reply and Ross seems to be staring at his book as if he's not part of any of this.

''Wow'' Is all she manages to say and I don't know how to take her reaction. ''I thought she was sweet but-''

''She is!'' I interrupt. I'm not taking my sister thinking bad thoughts about her, she doesn't know anything.

''Well, how was it anyway?''

''How was what?'' I ask before realising what she meant. I'm an idiot.

''The date.'' She says and Ross lifts his eyes up to mine.

''Anyway, I'm tired, good night.'' I push Gemma out of the room and she stumbles out. I can't wait to sleep and give myself emotional rest.
