The next morning, after breakfast made by Patrick before he left for work, Josh and Coll head out for the picnic. Parc de Rose is only a few blocks away from the school, making it really convenient for most parents to drop off their kids.

They arrive just in time for majority of Coll's friends to arrive. Leslie and Becca are already running around on a game of tag with Dan, Lily and Luna. "I'll go play with my friends, dad. See ya!"Colleen says with a smile and runs off to join the small group of children having fun near the swings.

Josh stands awkwardly in the same spot for a minute or two before he has enough courage to walk up to his daughter's teacher. His brain keeps repeating 'she is Brendon's wife' over and over until he stumbles upon her. He hates to admit that she is indeed gorgeous and already seems super nice.

"Hello. You are Colleen's father, right?"Sarah, or as Josh knows her: Mrs. Urie, gives off a serene glow that irradiates nothing but happines and love.

"I am. It's nice to meet you." They shake hands and Josh can't help but feel anxious about it.

"It's so nice to meet you too. Colleen talks non-stop about you."

"S-She does?" It warms Josh's cold, icy heart to know that his daughter is very fond of him and wants to share her love for him to the world.

Sarah nods,"Mhm. She's a lovely girl."

"Thank you."

He doesn't dare to mention Brendon, not yet at least. He'll ask eventually; maybe by the end of this whole event. The teacher walks away when another kid and her mom arrive, she sure seems to greet everyone equally.

As much as he'd like to just stand around, he decides to walk to a bench and sit down. All he has to do it watch over the 1st graders and make sure they were all good. He is sort of entertained by the running children, their laughter is contagious even if Josh doesn't understand what they're laughing about. More and more kids arrive, some with their parents staying around.

He notices Matthew walking to greet Colleen and the small group of friends playing with her...and since the universe hates him, Tyler is right behind him. He groans and rolls his eyes, trying to keep all the swear words inside him so the kids can't hear them.

His ex-boyfriend sees him, same facial expressions as him, and walks up to Josh. If he is being honest, he didn't expect Tyler to be here. Not that he complains, though it is a little awkward to have him around so much.

"Hey,"Tyler breathes out, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his Muse shirt.

"Hi. Are you following me or something?"

"You wish. Mat's teacher asked me to chaperone. Do you know where she is?" Josh feels proud to get a small chuckle out of him, it is rewarding in a way. That feeling is soon replaced by fear, he begins to wonder if Tyler knows that the teacher is Brendon's wife.

"You mean Mrs. Urie? She is over there,"Josh points at the swing sets and slides not too far away from his current position,"She's the brunette one."

"Okay, thanks. I'll be right back,"Tyler turns around but is stopped by Josh before he can even take a step forward.

"You're not amused?"
