Elara woke up early, like always. Everybody else was still asleep. She sighed, looking around the bright yellow room.
Standing up, she dressed for class.

She yawned, walking downstairs to see Scarlet Aberdale sitting there, crying her eyes out.
"Scarlet? What's wrong?"
She looked up, her blue eyes filled with tears. "My my dad," she hiccuped, "was ta-taken to," hiccup, "Azkaban. He was was an Death Death Eater!"
She craddled the girl close, rocking her gently. They stayed like that for a few minutes until Scarlet pulled away. "You probably don't have bad parents."
"My dad fought in the war and I never knew my mum."
Scarlet looked down at her hands in her lap. "I- I need to be getting dressed."
Elara nodded, heading to the door.
She walked down to the kitchen, tickling the pear and walking in. Many house elves busled around, making breakfast.
"Midnight," she whispered and the little house elf appeared in from of her.
"Hello miss, what brings you here this morning?"
"May I have an apple, I'm skipping breakfast."
Midnight nodded, handing her an apple.
She quickly left, pulling a potion's textbook and reading as she walked to the library.
She ran into a hard body and looked up to see Fred. "He-hey."
"Hey, what are you doing awake this early?"
"I always get up early. What are you doing awake?"
"I've got to check on Lily, she got hit with a bludger, remember?"
"Yes, I was afraid she was dead."
Fred chuckled, rubbing his neck. "It would take a lot to take her down."
Elara nodded, looking up at him. "What class do you have first?"
"Charms with the Hufflepuffs."
She smiled, bumping into his shoulder. "So, what do you plan on doing during your break?"
He shrugged. "Probably sit by the lake and read Romeo and Juliet."
"I like that book!"
He laughed, looking down at her. "Well, maybe when I am done with it I might let you borrow my copy."
She smiled, laughing. "Ok, so, do you want to go see Lily?"
