Lily watched Draco from the stairs, Scorpius kneeled down next to her.
"When do you think she'll be back?" she whispered to Scorpius.
"I don't know," he whispered back. Lily felt like her heart was being ripped from her chest. Astoria was like a mother to her, next to Minerva. She always thought she and Draco were inseparable. They always seemed so in love.
Draco sat at the table, watching the door. His tie was undone, the top buttons of his shirt undone, in his hand was a glass of white wine, next to him was his wand. He looked tired, on edge.
The door creaked open and Astoria slipped in, shoes in hand. Her eyes widened when she saw Draco, her hand covering her mouth. "Draco, I thought you'd be asleep by now," she said.
Draco sat his glass down, fixing his watch. "It's almost midnight, where have you been?"
If Scorpius was right, Draco knew exactly where she had been. He just wanted her to tell the truth. "Doing something," Astoria whispered.
"You mean doing someone," he growled.
"What are you talking about?" she asked.
The glass in Draco's hand shattered and he stood. Astoria gasped when he picked up his wand, was he going to hex her? Instead, he fixed the glass, setting it back on the table.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about Astoria."
"I don't!"
"Don't bloody lie. You've been shagging Weasley behind my back. Why do you even come back. To shag me as well?!"
"No! I don't! I love you! I'm sorry I cheated."
"If you were sorry you wouldn't have done it again, and again. You would've came to me and told me."
"I thought you'd hate me. Take away the kids."
Scorpius flinched next to Lily. "I wouldn't have. But now I will. I gave you my heart."
"But you had given it to another first!"
"And she broke it by cheating! But I forgave her. Told her that I was happy she had found the one who made her happier that I did. And she married him. And then you cheated with him. That man has ruined my bloody life. Taking everyone I love."
Astoria collapsed at her husband's feet, he had walked to her while talking. "I'm sorry. It was not my fault. It was an accident."
Draco snarled. "Cheating isn't an accident."
Astoria sobbed harder. "Please forgive me."
"That chance has left. Ms. Granger has probably talked to Mr. Weasley by now. Go to your man now. Your bags will be there when you get there."
"Please," she pleaded, worry and sorrow lacing her voice.
"Now," he bit out and Astoria stood, tearing falling down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry," she whispered one last time before turning to the door and leaving.
