Scorpius ran his fingers through his blond hair, watching Rose try and outsmart him in muggle chess, she was losing terribly and no matter how much he tried to let her win she continued to lose.
Rose moved her Bishop, which had been the only thing protecting her King from his Queen, and took out his Knight. He shook his head, moving his Queen and taking out her King, taking her little black piece. "How!" she yelled, Lily coming up and smiling.
"Honestly Rose, your Bishop was the last thing protecting you're King from his Queen, and when you moved it, it gave Scorp the perfect chance to take your king."
Rose huffed, standing up and stalking upstairs. Scorpius frowned, jumping up and hurrying after her. He saw her door slam shut but he ran straight into it, falling back. "Ow! Rose! What's wrong!"
"GO AWAY!" he heard Rose yell and frowned.
"Rose! Come on! What's wrong?" Scorpius, pressed a hand against the door, waiting.
"Go away you good-at-everything!"
Scorpius held back a chuckle. "Come on, you know I'm not good at everything. You always beat me in Quidditch."
He heard Rose giggle. "You fell off your broom!" Rose laughed, opening the door.
Scorpius smiled at her, chuckling. "Yes, I'm such a clutz on a broom."
Rose smiled, looking up at him before hugging him. Scorpius was a little shocked but hugged her back, smiling. "Hey Scorp?"
"Yes Rose?" he asked as she let go of him.
"How long do you think me and my brother will be staying here? I'm not complaining but I'm kind of homesick."
Scorpius nodded before saying, "I don't know when."
Rose nodded, sighing before going back into her room, leaving Scorpius there to think about what she had said.
(Hey, sorry it took so long for this to be up and the fact that it's so short. I've had dreadful writer's block.)
