C A L U M
My eyes wandered to Annabeth standing at the edge of the living room. To get her attention I patted my thigh, but she still seemed confused as to what I was hinting at.
I fought back a small smirk, "Come sit on Daddy's lap, baby girl."
I watched Annabeth's eyes widen slightly at the words that left my mouth and I chuckled softly, "Baby.." I spoke again.
She shyly made her way towards me, hesitantly seating herself on my thighs. She sat with her back to my left side, and her legs draping across the right side of me and the couch.
I smiled softly, "Annabeth," I said gently, and she turned her head to face mine. I readjusted her position so that she was now seated with her body parallel with mine, one leg on either side of me. "Better..."
I made eye contact with her, noticing how flushed her cheeks were. I chuckled softly and shook my head, "Annabeth, relax." I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I'm sorry..." She mumbled shyly, looking downward at her finger with which she was fiddling.
She was so goddamn precious. The purity of the small girl that sat upon my thighs made me want to both protect her from any and everything poisonous to her fragile being and to ravish her completely. She conflicted me. I didn't know how she felt. I didn't know if I was doing anything wrong, for she seemed to only want to please. She didn't seem to have any interest in denying me anything in order to not upset me. I loved that about her, but it left me with a slight concern.
"Princess?" My voice softly sounded, getting her attention. Annabeth rose her head and look up at me.
"Yes?" She asked cautiously.
"Today, in the library. You were getting very close to Luke." I tried to strengthen my tone of voice, but I was afraid of her being so upset. I didn't want to do anything that could possibly scare her off.
Her eyes saddened slightly, "I-I'm sorry, Calum. I didn't mean to..."
"Remember what I told you," I lightly trailed my fingers up and down her arms which happened to be covered by the black turtleneck she was wearing, "you're mine. That means no other boy gets you, right?"
She nervously nodded, "Right."
A gentle smirk crawled to my lips, "Good girl."
I saw her cheeks flush a faint pink in response to my words and the corners of her lips curl into a dainty smile. Her reaction to being called a good girl was beyond adorable in my eyes, and of course only lit a fire under the feelings I had for her.
"Are your parents home, kitten? When do I need to drive you back?" I set my hands on her hips.
"Uhm, my parents are both out of town for the next week, so I'm home alone. You can drive me back whenever." Her voice sounded like powder pink silk, soft and delicate. I frowned, only slightly when mentioned she'd be home alone for another week or so. I hated thought of her being by herself for so long.
"Well, would you like to stay with me they're away?" I asked rather casually, but this wasn't a casual question to ask. It was like asking her to move in with me. I didn't want to scare the poor girl away, but I hated the idea of her being alone. I concealed any nerves I had and analyzed her reaction.
Annabeth's pupils dilated only slightly, "I, uhm, I really don't want to be a bother to you, Sir..." It intrigued me, noting how she can be both shy and fragile, and confident and outgoing.
I shake my head, "You'd never be a bother to me, love. Please, stay with me. I don't like the thought of you being all by yourself." I frowned the slightest bit as her beautiful brown eyes met mine of a similar color.
"Are you sure..?" She asked fairly shyly. And I nodded in response.
"Of course." I grin, bringing out a faint smile onto Anna's face. Seeing her smile was so rewarding to me.
I took my hand and gently patted her bum, "We can get your stuff tomorrow after school, sound okay?"
Annabeth nodded, "Yes, Sir." She smiled, then glanced down at her fingers in her lap.
I took my index finger to lift her chin and quickly place a soft kiss on her lips. I was rewarded by her with a soft, innocent, giggle. God, the things even a small giggle from her mouth could do to me.
She looked at me, her bottom lip between her teeth and the corners of her mouth tugged into a soft smile. Her teeth slowly released her bottom lip. Its pink color came back into view. My eyes analyzed her face, only then did I really take in the beauty of the young girl sat upon my legs. She, of course, didn't know what was going on in my head. I wish she did, I wish I knew what was going on in her head. I so badly wanted to lay her on my bed and touch the skin covered by the thin material she was wearing. But I couldn't, not yet anyway. I couldn't risk her running away after getting at least this far.
"Calum?" Annabeth questioned, bringing me out of my daze.
"Yes, Annabeth?"
"How long have you liked me like this?" She giggled softly and teased me, gaining a bit of her confidence back. Good. This is good, that means she's getting more comfortable.
I laugh softly and lean my head back, blushing softly. "Oh god, I don't know. A while."
She grins and pokes at my chest, "Ooh, really?"
"Yes, really. Now how about we get some food together, eh?" I attempt to change the topic because God knows she could get me to say just about anything if she really wanted.
Annabeth takes note off what I'm doing, but she smiles anyway and nods as she slides off my lap. She stands up and waits patiently for me to follow her actions. Good god, this girl.
