I oddly felt some sort of emotion like jealousy and rage, and for what reason? I didn't quite know. God, to feel this way over a teenage exchange seemed ridiculous to me. Nothing happened but a simple acknowledging of each other. Annabeth and Luke did nothing more, so why was I so goddamn worked up. I wanted to punish her as if she'd done something to disobey me, but she didn't. She didn't stray away from her good girl attitude and general kindness she greets everyone with. So I chose to drop it, or I at least tried. There wasn't a need to act out on this, as it was nothing. She seemed both surprised and relieved as the question, "How was your day, baby?" fell from my mouth. I couldn't stop my lips from curling into the smallest of smiles.
"It was good, Da-" Annabeth's cheeks almost immediately went red, "Sir." She quickly tried to play it off as if she didn't almost let the name slip. My smile easily transitioned into a smirk as I leaned back in my chair. Her small voice once again sounded to move the conversation along, "How was yours?"
"Mhmm," I hummed, "It was alright. Much better now." I grinned and Anna's face possibly grew redder. The young girl standing in front of me fiddled with the bottom of her uniform skirt, and I had to try to think about anything other than what's underneath it. I hadn't done anything with my little girl yet, I didn't want to pressure her into something or to scare her away at all. I had moved quick enough with jumping in with the offer of letting her stay at my house.
"Are we all ready to go, darling?" I asked with a tilt of my head to enforce my question the slightest bit. The blonde perked her head up and shook it.
"Uhm, not yet. I have to get some books from my locker." As she spoke, I stood and stacked my papers together. It was finally the weekend. Though, I had mixed feelings about it. I was rather happy because it meant time off from students and work as a whole, and I was able to spend time with Annabeth. But, her parents were flying back late on Sunday night so I'd have to drop her off home and finish off grading papers that night.
"Alright, then. Go get them," I looked down at her shorter frame, "I'll be waiting in the car for you, okay?"
Anna nodded and turned to skip her way out of my classroom doorway. "Forgetting something, baby girl?" I asked, my voice giving off a firmer tone than before. She quickly spun around on her feet and got on her tippy-toes to plant a small kiss on my cheek, though it fell a bit further towards my jaw. I grinned and ushered her to the hall before we parted ways.

We arrived at my house in what seemed record time, traffic was lighter than I'd ever seen it. We stepped inside and slid our shoes off, hanging up jackets and dropping down bags. Annabeth had bent over to untie her shoes and, dear lord, the things she was unknowingly doing to me at that moment. As I walked past her, out of the foyer, I lightly smacked her bum, hearing a tiny squeal from her.
I made my way into the kitchen, followed by the small girl not long after. I looked up from my phone screen at her and my lips tugged themselves into a grin, still, in her school uniform, she looked adorable. "What do you want to do tonight, baby?"
"Mmm, cuddle and watch a movie" She giggled, hoisting herself onto the kitchen countertop where she chose to sit. Her legs swung themselves back and forth.
"Are you sure?" I chuckled, it was what we always did. But, if it made her happy I wasn't going to say no.
"Yes, Daddy" She nodded again, followed by another small giggle.
I smirked gently and tilted my head, stepping in front of her, "What's got princess all giggly today?"
She bit her bottom lip to try stopping the cute little laughs coming from her mouth, but it didn't quite work, "I dunno" Her shoulders moved in a shrugging motion.
"Hmm, you don't know?"
"Nope." She popped the 'p' sound of the word with her pink lips.
"Huh?"
"No." Another quiet giggle.
"No what?"
"No, Daddy."
I grinned, "Good girl," I said before pecking her lips gently.
I went to pull my head back slowly, but her lips only followed, a small sense of determination to keep our lips attached. My lips had lifted into a smile as I kissed her, leaning back in and stepping between her legs. Annabeth quickly wrapped her legs around my torso, though loosely. I cupped her cheeks in my hands to help control the kiss and maintain an easy pace. It was the most eager she had been, and I wasn't quite sure what had gotten into her. But was I complaining? No.
