No earthly element means so much
As your delicate and caring touch
No wind in the willow
No fire in the night
Nothing else here below
Can set things right
The wine may flow
and stars burn bright
yet there is nothing to know
apart from your sight
Rivers run wild and untamed
The earth shakes as I mention your name
Buried in the deepest of ice
my heart so numb lays forsaken
Somewhere your voice calls me twice
to draw this breath and awaken
The world may rock back and forth
The air may waver in aurora's sky
But you remain my true North
and every answer to my question why.
