Now We Dream

7 1 1

There is a pounding in my chest
An utterly disgusting noise called manhood

Testosterone

Damn if I don't love it

Somehow there's enough of it
to still course through my veins
Especially on a sunny day like this

It reminds me
that there aren't enough days
in my life to enjoy it

So I run

I run now
Through the wilderness of my mind
Back to all those boyhood summers
When we aspired to be men

And now we dream of being boys again
