Once bright
bought outright
Once eyes as ever-tones
hidden notes of all known
and unknown light
They danced
and leapt as fawns
in an orgy of flames
with heated exchange
until each night was gone
Taken to drift
given to the rift
upon a circuit of stars
without burns or scars
hopefully to forget
A break in the weather
A new endeavor
Eyes that open to see
Could this good thing be?
A break in forever
