I've never felt so tired in my life. I had lost a lot of sleep because I was up for a while just crying. It tired me out, and I honestly didn't want to do anything but lay back down. I ran a hand through his hair, getting caught on some tangled. John began digging through his drawers. I slowly got up and walked over to me and wrapped my arms around him. He hugged back and rested his forehead against mine.

"What was that for?" he asked.

"For earlier. For calming me down," I admitted softly.

"No problem," he whispered. I bit my lip, slowly leaning forward and kissing him. God, I just wanted to stay in John's embrace forever. It felt so warm and secure and like there'd never be anything for me to be afraid of ever again. He rubbed my shoulders. "Get dressed so we can go get some coffee," he said. I just smiled and nodded. I went and changed, just hiding my hair away in a beanie. John started to change and I couldn't help but stare at him. His wasn't extremely muscular, but he definitely had abs and definition of muscles.

He looked at me, and I quickly tried to look away. "I-I, uh... um... H-Hurry up," I stammered. Oh my God, that was embarrassing. I could feel heat on my face.

I stared down at the dresser and saw John's arms wrap around me. I turn around and saw he was still shirtless. He pressed his forehead against mine. "Was someone staring?" he teased, laughing a bit. I rolled my eyes. I traced his muscles absentmindedly.

"You're not too bad to look at," I said. He laughed and kissed me, holding my face in his hands. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders.

"C'mon, someone's got some wandering eyes," he winked. I tried to turn in his arm.

"Well I-I mean..." I trailed. He laughed and went to go out a shirt back on.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer," he teased, slipping on a sweatshirt.

"I might," I replied sarcastically.

"Ready?"

I nodded and grabbed a sweater as we left. We walked to the coffee shop and John insisted that I sit down and he'd order and pay for it all, even though I brought up me 'owing him one'. He chuckled.

"Then you'll owe me two," he said.

I rolled my eyes and went to go sit down. John came and sat next to me. "You better not just tally up. I feel bad, let me pay you back," I insisted.

John shook his head. "It's okay, really. I don't mind. You'll just owe me," he smiled.

I narrowed my eyes. "Fine," I huffed. "So, is coffee all I got dragged out of bed for, because if so, I'm chugging this and going back to bed."

"Alexander, that was three whole dollars, you better savor it," he said in the most monotone voice. I started laughing really hard. I laughed so hard I snorted, making John laugh. I quickly covered my face and we probably looked deranged to the woman who brought out drinks to us.

"You have the most adorable laugh Alex," he smiled.

"You... You're just saying that," I said, trying to calm down and hoping the red would soon flush out of my face.

"I'm not," he said. "You really do. I love it, especially that little snort you smuggled in there."

"Stop, I hate that," I chuckled.

"Cute."

"No."

"Bu-"

"No."

"You're no fun," he mumbled, forcing a frown as he drank his coffee.

I took a sip, almost spitting it out immediately when I saw his face that looked like he was uncomfortable as hell. "You're such a dork," I smiled.

"I try," he said smoothly.

I smiled and bit my lip. John laughed, and I looked away. I was staring at the wall when I heard a camera shutter and a muttered 'oh shit'. I jerked my head back to John, who was struggling to look innocent. "Let me see," I stared.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he shrugged, drinking his coffee.

I reached for his phone. He slammed his hand on top of it before I had the chance. "I just want to see it John," I said. He sighed before unlocking the phone and showing me the picture. It was of me, like I had assumed, just looking at the wall. I didn't realize I had a smile on my face.

"The lighting was really really good, I couldn't help myself. But please don't make me delete it," he said, smiling.

"Fine. Whatever," I said, trying to hide my smile.

"So, I was thinking we could revisit that challenge from the other day," he said.

"The one I won?"

"Yeah that one."

"What about it?"

"Rematch."

"I won."

"Rematch," he exaggerated the sound.

"Sore loser," I said.

"Yup! Mulligan can throw it again. I cannot lose to you noodle arms," he teased.

"Gee thanks," I said. He quickly leaned over the table to kiss me.

"You really are a dork," I said.

"Like I said," he shrugged, "I try."

We talked about whatever nonsense for he next hour. I couldn't get over the spark in his eyes when he got hooked on a subject that really meant a lot to. He would just talk and talk, but he looked so happy that I just didn't mind.

"I'm really looking forward to Friday," I said. He turned red and chuckled, looking down at his coffee.

"I'm glad you are. I am too. I'm glad you've given me the chance," he said. I shrugged.

"I couldn't help myself. You're a great kisser," I said. He chuckled nervously and scratched at the back of his head.

"I-I-I... uh... Um... Thanks, I think?" he said, confused, with his voice cracking a bit, emphasizing the awkwardness.

"Well its true," I said. Somehow I was able to avoid sounding awkward during this.

"I'm glad you appreciate my kiss."

"Nerds tend to cherish them more."

"Well, I have a lot more where that came from."

"John we're not making out in public."

"You're no fun."

I rolled my eyes and finished my coffee. "I'm still tired."

"Well too bad. You're not going back to sleep. There's a whole city to be explored."

"What?"

"Yep, were walking around. C'mon," he said, finishing his coffee, grabbing my wrist and dragging me out he door.

"I hate you."

"No you don't."
