The Last Waltz

Jellal's POV

"You really think you can pull this off?" asked Mavis as I nodded. "By taking away your magic, you won't have to sacrifice your life. That means you get to live normally but of course you two might have to deal with the rest later." Zeref rubbed his head, "Yeah that could tiring." I snickered as I got serious the next minute. "If you would allow me Mavis."

"I'm ready but are you sure you can take it? With your Heavenly Body Magic, your brother's dark magic and mine. Don't you think that you are pushing your body to the limit?" I shook my head and gave a soft sad smile, "It doesn't matter anyway, my body has already started to disintegrate slowly." I could see Mavis's tears dripped onto the roof pavements. I patted on her head, "It's not lady-like to cry like this. It's ok..." She wiped her tears away as she passed me all of her magic. My body feels different now...I can't feel anything from it. It's so calm and warm.

"Wait Jellal." Zeref gripped my hand as I woke up, looking at him. "You don't have to do it alone." I gasped, "No you just got a second chance to live."

Zeref shook his head, "This is my sin to atone for. I always thought that humans were cruel beings only wanted for power but it turned out to be the opposite. I was doing it for the sake of self satisfaction, a revenge for my parents. I thought my brother was dead too but now that I see him living his own life, having his friends beside him, I can go now in peace."

I gritted my teeth as I snapped, "Shut up! You still have your friends waiting for you right?" His eyes widened, "I don't get what..."

"Your closest friends, Spriggan 12 and Mavis too. Don't you see?" I said as he started to break down, dropping onto his knees. "Then what about you Jellal, you do have someone special too and your friends, your family. They are all waiting for you." said Zeref as I got hit right back. He's right about it, but this is the choice that I'm willing to make.

Suddenly a wave of fire came about as the three of us dodge the attack. I growled seeing the monster heading for our direction. "Damn it I'll have to hurry!" I turned around and gasped seeing half of Magnolia was covered with flames. No...this can't be it...

"Jellal!" I turned around seeing Erza running as she jumped, hugging me tightly. "Idiot don't leave me again..." she was already crying as I hugged her back, "I'm sorry Erza but there's something..."

"No don't say it. Where you go I'll go even if it means to our deaths." she said as I felt my heart stopped beating for a second. She cupped my face tracing the dark marks on my cheeks as I gripped her hand, "Listen Erza, you should go now somewhere safe. I can't help but worry that you might get hit by its attack."

She shook her head aggressively crossing both her arms. "Not going to happen!"

"Will you stop being stubborn?!?" I yelled back but then something happened. I caught a glimpse of the monster facing us as it released its tentacles heading towards us. I was about to pushed Erza away but the both of us got hit.

At that point, I felt my body was running cold as I looked down seeing one of the tentacles pierced through my heart. I snickered feeling no pain as I watched my blood dripped one by one. I looked over to the side seeing Erza's arms and waist got hit as well. I can't let her die now... I gripped onto its tentacles as the monster picked the both of us up facing him.

I grinned as I felt darkness was controlling me as I released all of my magic and my final strength into one attack. "This is the end monster."

Lucy's POV

"Will you stop running fast I can't catch up!" I yelled as Natsu slowed down. "Geez lose some weight Lucy." I snapped back, "Quit it Natsu!" Then some fire spread almost got us but luckily Natsu sucked up the fire and rubbed his belly. "Man that was one tasty fire."
