Makarov's POV

"So its true then Zeref has already making his move with his army to the human world." Mest nodded his head, "Yes and I'm not sure how are we going to fight him. His army is quite massive plus with the Spriggan 12. I can't imagine how powerful they all possessed."

I sighed heavily, "I knew this day would come where humans and vampires would go into battle. I was in battle once, slaughtering vampires as a hunter until one day a pure blood came to me carrying two children in her arms. I was about to finish her off but seeing her eyes made me stopped. She was different from the rest and she even spoke to me."

"What did she say to you?"

"She told me to take care of her children. Then she left and was killed by those vampires. She was still smiling until the end even she was in her last breath. At that moment, I decided to quit myself as a hunter and became a principle instead. In order to protect my own guild, I decided to build an academy as a disguise till today." Mest suddenly bowed as he lowered his head to the ground. I stopped and looked at him in shock, "What's wrong? Why are you bowing down to me?"

"I can't thank you enough for taking care of my prince and princess. It must been hard for you to keep them away from both hunters and vampires." I knelt down to him and placed my hands on his shoulders, "They are like my children. I made a promise to keep them safe till the end. I still have my duties to be done."

"So what are you going to do?" said Mest.

"I will protect my children until my last breath. I won't allow any of them to suffer and I'll end it with Zeref. That is my duty as a guardian."

Mest's POV

I just stayed silent looking at Makarov till I saw Jellal standing behind facing down with his bangs covering his face. "Since when are you here Jellal?" Makarov asked as Jellal walked in and answered, "Since from the beginning after taking Wendy back home. I came dropping by to help the rest but they were gone so I came here to see you. There's one more thing, I won't let you do this alone gramps. I won't let you die." Both our faces widened as Jellal came closer standing right next to me facing Makarov with his serious gaze.

"Listen kid, you have been through enough. I can't let you get involve in this battle!" Jellal clenched his fists and banged on the table, "Don't treat me as a kid anymore! I made a deal with Zeref that I would fight him in the end. I have to..." he stopped as he knelt to the floor crying, "I have to for the sake of my family and the people that I cared about."

"Jellal..." I muttered softly.

Jellal hit his chest, "Please let me do it instead. I'll stop Zeref and bring back peace to both worlds. That's my destiny as the former prince of the Fernandes family." I was shocked at his words. The way he said it and the looks in his eyes were so determined.

Makarov just stayed silent crossing his arms starring at Jellal. It was quiet for a while till he sighed, "If that's what you want then there's nothing I could stop you, but I'll be fighting alongside with you no matter what." Makarov turned to me, "Where are your man Mest?"

"They are in my hideout at the moment but there's isn't enough recruit to fight against Zeref's army." Makarov went into some deep thought as Jellal stood up. Both of us starred at him till he snapped his fingers, "There's a way to get some recruits. They are quite professionals."

"What is it gramps?" said Jellal.

Makarov winked at Jellal, "You'll see." He looked at the clock on his office wall and it's getting late. "I wonder whether Natsu and the others went back or not."

"I'll go look for them." Jellal volunteered as Makarov nodded and Jellal left the office. "Mest..."

"Yes sir."

"I need you to pass this letter to them immediately." I took the letter and looked at it. I gasped, "Wait you mean them?!?"

He nodded his head.

"Wow sir. I didn't know you would want to take them as recruit?"

"Just send it to them will ya!"

"Yes sir!"

TIMESKIP

Lucy's POV

All of us shrieked, "WHAT!!!!!!" I pointed at the ghost girl, "Is it true? You...are...Mavis Vermillion?!? The greatest vampire hunter of all times and the founder of Fairy Tail guild?"

"Yes I am and you are looking at her now." She said as she smiled brightly. Natsu and Gray came over pinching her cheeks, "Seriously? You don't look so old? How come you are still a child now?" said Natsu. "How did you ended up as a ghost?" Gray continued.

"Uhm, can you let go of me please?" Erza came from behind and hit both of their heads together. "My apologies Mavis this two gentleman here have no sense of respect. Please excuse them for their misbehave." Mavis laughed watching Erza beating up Natsu and Gray.

"Its alright Erza. I should have explain everything."

"So what happen to you and what is this place actually?" said Levy as Mavis sat on the table. All of us sat on the floor as she started to tell the story. "It happened many years ago before the war broke out. I was just a girl, working as a servant for a well-known noble in the streets of Crocus. Well that's when I met him...Zeref."
