Scott felt his heart shatter. "O-Oh. Ok-k-kay," he whispered shakily, and he hid his face in Mitch's chest as tears started flowing down his cheeks. Mitch frowned slightly and tilted Scott's face up to gently press their lips together, cupping his cheeks and brushing his tears away. Scott kissed him back halfheartedly, though he wanted nothing more than to curl up and cry his heart out.

"What's wrong, darling?" Mitch murmured after he pulled away, staring concernedly into his eyes. Scott closed his eyes and looked away. "N-Nothing, Daddy," he said hoarsely, bringing the sleeves of his onesie over his hands and shrinking into it. He wanted to drown in the fabric. "Don't lie to me, darling," Mitch said, his voice still gentle but more firm. Scott whimpered, but forced himself to speak. "I love you, Daddy."

Mitch froze, and Scott sobbed hoarsely, clinging onto him. "But you d-d-don't l-love me. P-P-Please d-don't m-m-mak-ke m-me go h-h-home. I d-don't w-w-want to, D-Dad-dy..." Mitch composed himself and shook his head, pecking Scott's lips. "I'm not going to make you leave," he said softly, and Scott sobbed again, holding onto him tighter. Mitch ran his hands along Scott's back, bringing him closer and kissing his tears away. "Please don't cry, darling..."

"Y-Y-You d-don't l-l-love m-m-me."

"What makes you say that?"

Scott whimpered and looked up at him. "You h-hate m-me."

"I don't hate you, sweetheart. It's the exact opposite."

Scott looked up at him again, his heartbeat picking up. "What do you mean?" Mitch smiled and pecked his lips again. "I love you, darling," he said quietly. It felt so strange saying those words again after all those years. Scott blinked, but smiled a watery smile through his tears. "Really?" Mitch hummed in acknowledgement, nodding. "Yep. With all my heart."

Even though he seemed nonchalant, he was terrified on the inside. The last time he had admitted his love for someone hadn't ended well.

But Scott didn't scoff in disgust and force him away. He blushed and curled up, burying his face in Mitch's chest. "I love you too, Daddy." He hesitated a moment before speaking again in a small voice, "How?"

"How what, darling?"

"How can you love me?"

Mitch frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I'm fat, I'm ugly, I'm stupid, I'm rude, I'm selfish, I'm—"

"No. You're not, darling," Mitch said softly, gently pushing Scott off and moving to straddle him. Scott's heartbeat picked up a little and he stared shyly up at Mitch. "Yes, I am," he whispered barely audibly. Mitch shook his head and bent to press their lips together briefly before he pulled away and kissed the side of his mouth. "You're kind," he murmured, then kissed his nose. "Gorgeous." His eyelids. "Smart." Mitch moved down to Scott's neck, moving the onesie aside. "Handsome," he murmured, kissing his mark. Scott's eyes fluttered closed and he tilted his head to the side, even though his cheeks were dusted pink from the compliments. "Selfless. Stunning. Flawless." With each word, Mitch kissed a different part of Scott's neck.

Soon enough, he had to move lower, and he gently unzipped part of Scott's onesie to press kisses to his chest. "Lovely. Generous. Obedient." Mitch kissed over his heart. "Adorable. Polite." He moved down farther to kiss Scott's stomach. "Lovable." Finally, he leaned up to kiss his lips. "Perfect."

When Mitch pulled away, Scott was blushing deeply, a shy smile on his lips. "Thank you," he whispered barely audibly. Mitch smiled and kissed him again, and Scott kissed him back, reaching up to cup his cheeks gently.

Scott felt happier than he had in his entire life. Ironically, as soon as he got kidnapped by pirates his life got better.

At home, Scott was unwanted. His boyfriend hated him, his parents hated him, anyone who'd ever come into contact with him hated him. Scott didn't know why — he tried his hardest to be nice and kind to everyone he met.

Maybe they just wanted Scott out of their lives. Maybe he should just disappear.

Mitch gently pulled away and smiled, moving off of him and bringing him back in his arms. Scott made a small noise and curled into him, hiding his face in Mitch's chest. Mitch watched him with a small smile, adoration shining in his eyes.

He couldn't believe Scott loved him. He'd dreamed of someone loving him his whole life, and now that it was finally happening, his heart was racing in his chest and he felt like he was in a dream.

Scott was the most perfect person he'd ever met. His eyes, his hair, his smile, everything about him was absolutely perfect. Everything. It broke Mitch's heart when he heard his darling talking bad about himself. He made it his mission to make Scott believe he was beautiful.

No matter what it took.

"Daddy?" Scott's small voice broke Mitch from his thoughts.

"Yes, darling?"

"Can I zip my onesie up again?"

"No. In fact, take it all the way off. I want to see you."

Scott made a small noise, but he couldn't disobey his daddy, so he squeaked a soft, "Yes, Daddy," and slipped the onesie off. He shivered as his bare skin was exposed to the cooler air and immediately moved closer to Mitch, and relaxed as Mitch's arms wrapped around him again. Mitch's embrace kept him warm.

Mitch smiled down at the blond in his arms, tracing circular patterns on his back. Scott shivered again, goosebumps rising on his skin, and buried his face in Mitch's neck. Mitch ran his hand along his side, closing his eyes and leaning his head against Scott's. Scott nuzzled against him and purred quietly, causing Mitch to open his eyes in surprise. "What's that sound?" Scott blushed and stopped. "N-Nothing, Daddy." Mitch looked around for a few more moments, subconsciously sitting up and holding Scott more possessively, but slowly his gaze went back to Scott. "Was that you?" he asked. Scott hesitated, but nodded, bracing himself. "Yes, Daddy," he said quietly, squeezing his eyes shut. However, the impact he'd expected never came. "Oh, good. I was worried it was someone who'd try to take you away," Mitch murmured with relief evident in his voice, his eyes closing and his head leaning against Scott's.

"I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too, darling."
