•Stella's POV•

I went down to the kitchen and for the first time in a long time, I had breakfast with my family. Kian was beside me, mum at the left end of the table and dad at the other.

We had bacon and eggs for breakfast. I missed this. It feels like I've never had it in a long time. Maybe it was because I often spend my nights with my friends or having breakfast outside with Luke. Damn, Stella. Enough. You and Luke are finished.

"Uh, Stella?" Kian tapped my shoulder, waking me up from my thoughts. "Pass the knife please."

"Oh, uh.." I stuttered and grabbed the knife on my side and handed it to him.

"Relax, will you? It's early morning," he said.

"I-I'm relaxed," I said.

"Sure," he gave me the 'Im-Not-Convinced' look.

"Pack a bag, sweeties, because we're going to a resort today," my dad smiled and my eyes lit up.

"Really?!" I exclaimed.

My mum chuckled and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Yes, dear. We haven't had any real family bonding time for a while so your dad and I thought that maybe it was the time for it."

I nodded in amazement. I actually suddenly felt so happy because we were gonna go to a resort. I don't even know why.

I hurriedly finished my food and got up from the table.

"I'm gonna ready myself now!" I called as I ran up the stairs. As soon as I got into my room, I immediately went to my wardrobe and grabbed my beach bag which was big enough. I grabbed a big towel, my swim suit, extra clothes and sunblock and placed them all in the bag.

I changed into my swim suit and wore a tank top and shorts over it. I went inside the shoe compartment of my room and grabbed my flip flops.

"Finally, some fun," I muttered as I grabbed my phone and iPod and carried my bag out my room.

I went into the living room to see my mum ready, probably waiting for dad to pull his car by the entrance way of the house.

A honk indicated he was there.

"Kian!" I called. "Come on, we're going!"

"Yeah, I'll be right behind you!" I heard him call back.

I looked out and walked outside going to the car. I opened the backseat door and climbed in, plopping myself down on the seat.

Minutes later, my brother appeared from the front door with my mum behind him, locking the door. He tapped the window where I was and I rolled it down.

"Use the other damn door," I pointed behind me and laughed.

He went behind the car and got in the left side. My mom followed too.

This was gonna be fun. Beach day. All right. I hope I see some people I know there or even just celebrities. Woah, okay, Stella. Weird.

We drove downtown and reached the small resort in about 20 minutes.

The place was cool. The cute floral designed sign read: Welcome To Elysium.

I shook my head.

"Hey, Kian," I whispered to my brother. "Isn't Elysium where the people in Greek mythos go when they're dead?"

"Whatever, this place is cool," he said to me, patting my shoulder then my head. I immediately swatted it away and nudged him.

We both walked into the reception area with our mum and dad to pay for our stay. I heard him say 'overnight' so I guess we wouldn't be that long here.
