•Stella's POV•
I was on my bed. Waiting for 8 o' clock. Why am I somehow... Excited?
Kellin? No. I don't remember anything about him. Do I? Well, he looks quite familiar. Does he?
Everything is clouding up in my mind about Kellin. Why did he even approach me? Well, I mean it's my fault for stepping on his foot but why does he know about me and Luke's relationship?
And for some reason... I'm starting to lose my feelings for Luke.
Am I?
I checked my phone which was on my right side. 7:38 pm. Our dinner wasn't that much. We had pizza and some drinks inside our room. Now, my mum's probably sleeping, my dad's out with some friends in the bar just outside, Kian's probably somewhere out in the beach with some girls, and I'm just waiting for 8 pm.
I turned my head to look at my mum, she's sleeping, alright. I got up and changed into my shorts, a band tee and some sandals.
I made my way out of the long hallway. Even if it's closed up, I could still feel the sea breeze brushing on my cheeks.
The place was still noisy mainly because of the different kinds of bars they have here.
I reached the stairs and walked down slowly. And little by little, I could start to see the reception office with some people sitting at the lounge and talking.
I slowly turned my head to the front desk and saw the lady receptionist talking on the phone.
Where could he be?
"Looking for me?" someone startled me by holding both my shoulders.
I turned around to see Kellin. "I, uh, Kellin," I said.
"What? I'm not a ghost, now am I?" he said. "Smile for a bit." He lifted my chin.
"Wh-where are we going first?" I stuttered, pulling on my t shirt.
He was in beach shorts and a tank top and some flip flops. "I want you to see the garden," he said, placing an arm around my shoulder.
"So you and Hemmings are together, right?" He asked as we walked down a long hallway.
"We were together," I corrected.
"Hmm, his fame is the reason why you broke up, isn't it?" Kellin asked. Where is this conversation going? I mean, I can't just answer and answer questions about Luke.
"I, yeah, it was," I admitted.
He scoffed and grinned.
"What?" I asked.
We got to the end of the hallway and he removed his hand from my shoulder, opening the door leading outside.
I slowly stepped out, letting the fresh air touch my skin again. I looked forward to see a small gate leading to the garden he was talking about.
"First stop," Kellin sighed. "The garden. Come."
I followed his lead. He opened the small gate and stepped inside, so did I. I looked around and small a lot of beautiful flowers and plants.
"They're so pretty," I said, admiring the roses just by my side.
"You're as pretty as it is," Kellin said, picking one and gave it to me. My eyes widened at his statement.
You're as pretty as it is.
Luke said that to me. When we were at Darlah's flowers shop back downtown. I sat on the small like bench nearby and burried my head in my knees.
"What's wrong?" Kellin asked, stroking my back.
"I, no," I stuttered. "Nothing's wrong, it's just the memories." I started wiping small tears that ran down my cheek.
Luke, I thought. Why does everything still remind me of him? But I should stop. We're over. I should start to like someone else. He's not coming back so soon, anyway... right?
"Something reminded you of him?" Kellin asked, sitting beside me. "Stella. Luke left you, okay? Look, he chose his fame over you. He doesn't care. All he cares about is himself. He knows he can win you. That's why he courted you in the first place."
I looked up at Kellin. Why the fuck is he saying stuff like this? But could it be true? He really chose his fame over me? He doesn't care? Is it true that just because he can win anyone, he did it to me?
No. Luke's been my best friend. He couldn't be like that. Could he?
"Look, Stella," Kellin said, turning my face to his. "I'm not like Hemmings. I can protect you. I won't leave you."
I squinted my eyes. Am I dreaming? I don't even know him that much and he says this to me? "Kellin, I don't-"
"Stella, I've always been liking you," he said, making me place my feet down.
"But I don't remember anything from you," I said, confused.
"Does that matter now?" he said, fixing hair behind my ear. "I know I can protect you. Can you really put up with someone as awkward as pretty boy?"
"We-we're both awkward," I sniffed.
"Stella, that's not the point," Kellin said. "If you're both awkward, do you think your relationship will go somewhere? See? you're not even a month yet and he left you."
"You're... You're right," I said. "But Kellin, what are you trying to say?"
I am still very confused with the happenings at the moment. This boy named Kellin actually likes me though I barely remember anything from him? And he starts to tell me things about my own boyfriend?
I am groggy at the moment but I was able to get words out of my mouth. "Kellin, if I give you the chance, will you make a difference?" I asked. I don't know what I'm doing but he actually attracts me. Maybe somehow between our relationship, I would get to know him more?
"I've got nothing to hide from you," he said. "Nothing."
He slowly pulled my head nearer to his. His right hand behind my neck and mine on his shoulder. His lips parted and crashed into mine.
Stella. What the fuck are you doing.
But this seems so right now. He said he could protect me. He said he won't leave me. Does this mean Im totally done from being head over heels on Hemmings? Does this mean I'm starting to move on?
We parted and he smiled. "Are you leaving tomorrow?" he asked.
"Unfortunately, yes," I said.
He shrugged. "We still have three more days to hang out before classes." he winked.
Well what the actual fuck is this. Three days? I remember when Luke and I had three days left too. Its matching. I think I'm finally moving on. Am I?
"I wasn't able to show you around," Kellin said, standing and scratching his head.
"That's alright. The garden's enough," I smiled at him.
"Do you want me to take you up to your room now?" he asked.
"Uh, sure," I said, standing up as well.
He reached his hand out to me and I took it.
