Adelaide

I was standing outside the back entrance of the theater. I have texted Daveed and he told me to wait outside. Even though he still had four hours till the show he was called for a meeting and some extra rehearsal with new members of the team that just got into spots. I was quiet exhausted from work and a bit worried about Felicia and Harry. I shouldn't be since they always work it out somehow. Biting my lip I texted Felicia just to check up on her and if asked her if things were okay with her and Harry. She only replied to me saying that she was fine.

Fine is not a feeling.

Then I thought of an idea.

how about we go out this weekend?

I waited patiently for a reply.

FELI: ooh you and me? yess finally i can escape my roommates

lunch or dinner?

FELI: umm lunch!
FELI: gasp!! can i meet daveed??
FELI: pretty pretty pleaseeee

um i dunno if he has any plans, i can ask thou

FELI: of course he's gonna be free when you ask him ;)

whats that supposed to mean?

FELI: nothin ehehehe

I rolled my eyes at her reply but couldn't help but wonder what she meant. Before I could think about this topic any further I was greeted by someone's presence, and their loud voices.

It was laughter of two men.

A blonde wearing a blue shirt had a wide innocent grin on his face his face almost lit up from whatever they were talking about.

"It was kind of cheesy." A different voice that sound somehow familiar.

"Oh my god! Stop!!" The blonde cried out laughing even more going down the few steps and then another fella stepped out. And it indeed was a familiar face. "I wouldn't have done it i-" The blonde cut himself off when he saw me standing there staring at the two. His ears grew a red color and he tried to push his grin down.

"Oh hey Adelaide!" Lin-Manuel spoke up his grin never fading. I smiled at him.

"Hey, long time no see." I stepped closer to them with a polite smile on my lips. Lin-Manuel nodded eagerly.

"Yeah, yeah even though Daveed never stops talking about you. It's seems like only an hour ago." He joked and then laughed, receiving a chuckle from his friend beside him.

He talks about me?

I felt my heart flutter but tried not to show my happiness.

"Wait. You are Adelaide. The Adelaide?" The blonde asked and then looked between me and Lin-Manuel. A stunned expression taking over his face before smiling his bright smile again. This time I grew red not knowing what to say or do. Lin-Manuel nodded but quickly then introduced me to the blonde.

"This is Jonathan Groff."  He stretched out both of his hands to present the blonde which recieved a playful eye roll from Jonathan himself.

"Hello, I'm Jonathan Groff." He stretched our his hand and I took it, shaking it. He gave me a warm welcoming smile and I couldn't help but smile back at him. His happiness seemed so contagious.

"Hey, I'm Adelaide Stuart but you probably already knew that." I tried not look embarrassed but that might have not worked.

"They were all good things I promise." He smiled a warm encouraging smile.
