We sat in a booth at the small cafe down the block from the Blake's law firm. My mother and father sat across from Dean and myself. They stared as Dean fiddled with his hands. I took his hand in mine and looked back at my parents.
"Any one want coffee?" My mother asked and my mouth hung open.
"Seriously?" I asked and she looked at me. "You're not mad?" I asked and she shook her head.
"We already knew." Dad said looking at his phone and I looked at my dad and then to Dean.
"How?" I asked and mom looked at me putting her coffee down.
"I went into Dean's, is it, office to leave him a message when I touched his computer mouse causing his screen to turn on. I was about to turn away and not even look until I saw a picture of you smiling and then Mr. Blake beside you." She explained and Dean's face went white.
Dean's POV-
I found it hard to clear my throat and speak back to Marlow. I had left the picture on my computer of Kelsey and myself."I noticed it was a file transferred from your home computer so I can assume you were there when you were supposed to be at Kodas?" Her mother asked her and he nodded her head slowly.
"Mr. And Mrs.-" I started but her father cut me off.
"You do not have a right to speak." His harsh words made Kelsey jump.
"Dad." She looked at him with pleading eyes. "Kelsey. He is twenty four and your mothers boss. You're sixteen not eighteen. This is illegal." Her father said which made Kelsey grip my hand harder.
" I don't care. What happened was not his idea." She told him which caused her mother to look at her and then me.
"I know that too." She said taking another sip of coffee.
"Mom just let us talk." Kelsey reasoned with her parents while I was at a loss for words. "He wants to be there and apart of my life and the baby's life. He will take care of both of us." She said looking between the two.
"No." her father said which caused our heads to snap his direction.
"No?" I asked and he looked at me. "No as in no you may not visit my daughter. No you may not be part of her life." He stated and Kelsey looked at me with wide eyes.
"Kelsey won't be working for you any more either. She will go to school and then come home. I don't see a way we can trust her." Her mother added and I put an arm around her pulling her close.
"Mom." She cried with tears filling her eyes.
"Kelsey, Dean is my boss. He was your boss and he should have been the adult and turned down any advances you made or not made any towards you." Her mother said looking at me and then to Kelsey.
"If I find out you contact my daughter I will call the police. No hesitations." Her father said sliding out of the booth with her mother following.
"Let's go Kelsey." Her mother said grabbing her phone. Kelsey looked at me with tear filled eyes and slid out of the booth. I followed her, grabbing onto her arm.
"Kelsey." I said looking into her eyes. I knew her parents eyes were on me and I didn't care. "Kelsey I'll always be here." I told her and she nodded her head.
"I have to listen to them. You could get in trouble or worse." She cried putting her arms around my neck and hugging me. My hands went to her waist pulling her close. I felt her pull away and looked at her as she looked into my eyes. She stood on her tip toes placing a kiss on my lips which made me pull her closer. I instantly kissed back and only stopped when Kelsey jerked away from me. I opened my eyes to see her dad holding on to her.
"Let's go." He said pulling at her arm and she reached in her pocket hand me a picture. Taking it I watched as she was drug out of the cafe and onto the street as she cried. Not once did she look back at me. I watched as their car drove away and I looked at the picture in my hand. My child. Our child.
Kelsey's POV--
I stayed silent on the way home. Mom and dad exchanged small talk but never with me. Once and a while I would hear my name or Dean's name and would try to listen in but could never hear over the radio. I looked at my phone and didn't seen any text not even from Dean. I decided to send him one and hope he reply.
They can't do this. I'll make it right.-k
I read the message I sent over and over before locking my phone placing it back in my pocket. I looked up to see we had pulled into our drive way. I was the first to hop out and make it to the door. Dad and mom were behind me and dad made his way past me to unlock the door.
"Kelsey wait." Mom said before I had a chance to bolt up the stairs.
"Yes?" I asked and she looked at me.
"Take a seat." My mother said nodding her head toward the couch. I rolled my eyes and walked to the couch and plopped down on couch near the front door. My parents took a seat on the other side of the couch.
"Do you know how old your father and I were when you came along?" She asked and I looked at them.
"Like 27?" I asked and moms mouth hung in shock as dad laughed.
"How old do you think we are?" Mom asked which made dad laugh more. "I was barley seventeen when you were born. Andrew was nineteen. We were kids." Mom said and I looked at her. I didn't know she was sixteen when she got pregnant.
"Yeah but Grams and pop probably let you be with him!" I told them and my mom look kind of hurt. She grabbed dads hand and looked at him.
"There's a reason you don't see Grams and Pop, Kelsey. And no, they didn't like be being around Andrew, in fact they didn't like him at all." My mom said referring to my dad by his name.
"So you feel the pain right now?" I asked her and she furrowed her eyes at me.
"That's not the point, Kelsey. There's a reason I'm trying to protect you. Dean does not love you, Kels." She told me and I looked at her with hurt eyes. Was she right?
"I don't have to listen to this." I said walking past my parents who called my name but I ignored them. I threw myself on my bed and cried to myself. They couldn't possibly know that he didn't love me. Which it had me thinking. I walked over to my computer booting it up and clicking the video chat button. I clicked Kodas name and she instantly picked up.
"Tears? This isn't good." Koda said looking at me with a sad face.
"They..they know it was Dean." I said crying into the camera.
"I'm sorry." She said before a knock was on my door. I slammed my computer lid shut and put it under my bed knowing it would cut off by itself.
"Kelsey. Phone." My mom said coming into my room. I looked at her and let a breath out, handing over my phone.
"You'll get it back tomorrow when I leave." She said walking out of my room and closing my door. I reached for my computer and the door opened again to mom with her hand reached out. I let another breath out and handed her my computer.
"I'm doing this for you." She said and I rolled my eyes and payed back onto my bed.
"Could this get any worse?" I yelled throughout my house yet no one replied.
