Kelsey's POV
"Kelsey, wake up." My Mom shook me a little causing me to stir. I let my eyes open and close a few times before leaning up. I looked over to see Koda already gone from my bed.
"Koda is down stairs. Did you sleep in that dress?" My mother asked and I looked down to see I was in the same dress I had wore to the thanksgiving party last night.
"I guess." I said throwing my legs over the side.
"Why are you not at work?" I added on my question and she shrugged.
"Mr.Blake sent an email. It's a personal day." She said and that's when I looked at her. My mom wasn't in her normal suit she would wear but instead a pair of jeans with boots and a sweater. I had never really seen mom out of work clothes unless it was in pictures or on a non work related trip.
"Koda is down stairs waiting on you. Why don't you get ready and come down stairs." She said getting up and walking out of my room. I got out of the bed and walked to my vanity seeing my face.
"Jesus." I said looking at my smeared make up. I had gone to bed in full makeup. I heard my door open and I looked around to see Koda.
"Jesus."she said taking a step back when she saw me.
"Thanks." I said with a scoff and sat in my vanity chair. I began to remove my make up as Koda walked behind me.
"How can you go to bed with your hair down and wake up with it looking perfect?" She asking twisting my curled hair in her hand.
"I don't know." I said giving my self a once over to make sure I had all make up off. I walked to my closet and pulled out a dress that was tight on my bust but loose after that it fell past my knee. I put in flip flops seeing they were the easiest to put on with a belly the size of a watermelon.
" Let go baby momma." She said walking toward the door and leaving. I followed behind her down the stairs and into our living room.
"Gender revel day." Mom mentioned as she walked by.
"Wait, what about Dean? I wanted him to go." I explained following my mother with my eyes."Call him in the car." She mumbled while grabbing two coats off the coat rack. I walked to her grabbing my coat and putting it on and walking out the door.
Sitting in the car my mom turned around handing me her cell phone. I typed in the familiar phone number and put the phone to my ear. It had only rang three times before cutting off, showing my call was rejected.
"It's fine Mom, Koda is here." I told her passing the phone back to her and watched as she put it in her purse.
The drive to the doctors seemed long and tiring. Koda talked the whole way or until my mom had turned on the radio, then she sang along. It was typical Koda and I couldn't help but laugh at her. She would laugh anytime she would see me starring or a passing car looking at her. She had only calmed down when moms car shut off and she looked around to see we were in the parking lot. Getting out of the car, I threw on my jacket once more and stood beside my mom and best friend.
"Want to call Dean again?" Mom asked and I shook my head no.
"He knows today is the day I'm finding out, with or without him." I said waking toward the door.
"Are you serious?" Koda screamed as the nurse told her the gender of my baby.
"Very much so." She replied handing me a napkin to wipe gel off my belly.
"How exciting." My mother said holding my sonogram pictures in her hand. "Why were we not able to tell sooner?" Mother added and the nurse looked up.
"Gender of babies are hard to tell sometimes. The babies have to be facing just right and as much as we wanted to know we couldn't tell." The nurse explained to my mother who just nodded.
"Well, what now?" Koda asked after the nurse left.
"I guess we tell Dean." I said standing to my feet and walking towards the door.
