Kelsey's POV^*

I pulled the items out of the bag one by one and looked them over. Clothes, shoes, earrings, toys. This crazy chick full blown went shopping for MY kid.

"I love them." I said with the believable smile I've been using this whole time. Amanda clapped her hands and smiled with joy knowing she did a good job. Dean was happy his fiancé and his child's mother was getting along so why should I be the one to crash that? After over coming my postpartum depression I noticed Dean watching my reactions, waiting for me to fall back into them. He me meant all good by it but it was annoying.

I heard the cry from my two month old baby and thanked heaven. A way out of this room.

"I'll be back." I said standing up and walking down the hall and to the stairs that led up to Brianna's room. Of course not the same one she's had because Dylan moved in but one down the hall, closer to the stairs.  I walked a little faster up the stairs as her cries got louder.

Walking in her room I saw she was in a cradle and not the crib. I rolled my eyes and picked her up. I rocked her back and fourth trying to soothe the cry coming from her.

"Is she okay?" I heard Dean behind me and I turned to face him. His smile dropped when he saw the annoyed look that at on my face.

"What?" He asked and I quintet my eyes and him and rolled my eyes once more. I turned my back towards him hold Brianna close to my chest.

"Kelsey." He spoke putting his hand on my shoulder so I turned to face him.

"She hates being in the cradle. You should know that. Everyone knows that." I told him while still bouncing Brianna. He looked at me in shocked and let out a a laugh, well more of a scoff.

"You want to tell me what I do and don't know about Brianna? You didn't even know her eye color until she was almost two months old!" Dean shouted at me and I stepped back.

"Dean!" I heard Amanda's voice from the doorway. I looked at her and then to Dean. i shook my head at him before walking around the room grabbing some of Brianna's stuff and putting it into her diaper bag.

"You know what, you are right. I didn't even know my own daughter until three weeks ago. So please excuse us as we go bond." I said walking to the door way which now occupied Dean. His arm stretched out across, not letting me by.

"You can't take my daughter away." He said looking at me. Of course he thought he knew a thing or two because he was a family lawyer but I was about to throw him a curve ball. "I see this stuff everyday. This won't be good for her to grow up in."he added as he tried to make a point.i rolled my eyes and pushed passed him and walked down the hallway. . "I'll call my dad if you leave. He yelled after me so I turned to face him.

"Do it." I boldly stated before walking down the stairs and out side to where my fathers car sat. He had started to let me use it since he was out of town almost everyday. I quickly buckled Brianna in making sure her straps were tight and then I climbed in the front seat, buckling myself up. I cracked he car and sped away from Dean's house, well as fast as I could go with a baby in the back and feel safe.

I pulled into my driveway to see my mother was home from work which threw me off a little. It was only twelve. She met me at the door and took Brianna from my arms and instantly cuddled her.

"How's grandmas sweet baby?" She asked Brianna who cooed at her. Mom smiled watching Brianna trying to figure out her facial expressions. "You gonna tell grandma why she got an email saying to go home and she couldn't be involved in a case?" she cooed at Brianna then looked to me.

"Dean and I got into a fight. I took Brianna and left even though he threatened to call his dad. I didn't think he actually would." I told her honestly and she looked at me. I knew whatever was about to come out of her mouth it was going to turn into a lecture so I prepped myself.

"His whole family is family lawyers and you chose to pick a fight?" She asked and I nodded my head which made her laugh. "Okay, so what was your leverage?" She asked and I turned my head. I was a bit confused on what she said. "What makes you think if we were taken to court that she would be yours?" She asked the same question but simpler.

"Has no one even looked at her birth certificate?" I asked throwing my hand up and she looked at me before turning to walk away. I followed her on her heels all the way to her office where she opened a drawer and pulled a folder out with Brianna's name on it. I watched as she flipped through some paper work before landing on the birth certificate.

"You are so sneaky." Mom said smiling at me and I flashed her a smile. "What made you think of that?" She asked and I shrugged my shoulders. I watched as she flipped through more papers and landed on another paper and her eyes shot to me. "How did you even get away with this?" Mom asked and once again I shrugged my shoulders.

"We were so desperate to leave the hospital Dean just quickly signed all the discharge papers and the understatement paper." I told her and she shook her head at me with a smile.
