Kelsey POV

I felt my mom put the car in park outside of Dean's house. We had tried the office but the whole Blake family was out. Mom had said they probably were at a family dinner or meeting and we should try his house if I wanted.

I walked up to his front door and knocked a few times. It wasn't long before a puffy eyed Amanda opened the door. She looked at me up and down as I did her.

"What do you want" her voice was shaky but strong.  I looked at her again but closer. Her eyes were tired and wet from her crying. Her cheeks were puffy and her face was swollen. She was still wearing her pant suit that I assume she wore the day before. My eyes met hers again and I could see the annoyance in her eyes.

"Mr. Blake, is he here?" I asked and she looked to me as if she had something to tell me but shook her head.

"No. He's not available and I'm not sure to when he will be."she said with a louder voice than the quiet one she had used before.

"Okay, thank you." I said nodding my head and walking back to my car. I heard the front door close as I opened my moms car door and got in.

"Wasn't home?" Mom asked as she cranked the car and I shook my head no.

"I bet he was but that bitch couldn't tell him go." Koda and and my moms head snapped to her. "Oh, sorry." Koda got wide eyed. I laughed and looked out the window as I buckled up.

"I'm like tired, anyone else?" My mom nodded her head in agreement with my statement and I looked to see Koda did as well. You can only imagine how happy I was when we pulled into the drive way of my house. We all got out, practically running towards the door. Everyone was exhausted. Mom had taken off work and Koda wasn't in school. Us girls made our way up to my bed room where we instantly laid down and before I knew it Koda was out. As much as I claimed to be tired I couldn't sleep. My mind thought wonders and different things. All from if I would enroll here or go back to grandmoms to if Dean would let Amanda help raise our child. The thought alone was enough to make me mad. I mean nothing was wrong with her but I was gone for a little over four months and there she was.

I shook the thought from my head, or tried to, as I let myself drift into a dreamless sleep. Well, that was my plan. Instead I thought about Dean and why he wasn't wanting to see me. Maybe Amanda was crying because she knew he was the father and it ruined her plans for their future. I decided that was it and that's why a cold shoulder was given to me. I rolled over, leaving my back facing Koda and finally the sleep took over.

••Amanda POV••

I sat by the phone waiting for a ring. Just one and I would answer it. My nerves were shot as I held my cup of coffee. Ring. I started at the phone only half a second before picking it up.

"Hello." I eagerly said into the phone. Mr. Blake's voice boomed yet was quiet, letting me know I need to come to the hospital. The phone was replaced on its stand as I stood up grabbing my keys and headed out the door.

The drive to the hospital was long and with every mile my heart dropped a little more. I wasn't ready for this, was I? Parking in the parking deck beside Mr. Blake's company car, I got out. I walked tall through the doors and down the hall to the elevator. I watched as I passed floors until it landed on five. Stepping off I was instantly greeted by Dean's sister. He smile was soft and small as she nodded her head towards me to follow. I did. I followed her down the hallway that seemed to never end until we stopped and turned right. 527. I started to walk in but a hand went across the doorway.

"Before you go in we need to talk. He's not okay. They don't know what really was going on when he wrecked his car but they think he was on the phone texting or something. He's in bad shape and he's lucky to even think about pulling through this." She said as I nodded and her arm dropped. I walked in expecting to find Dean sitting straight up in the bed watching tv but instead I found his parents beside him, his eyes closed his hand was in his mom but it was not moving. I look to the Blake's then at Dean. I felt a tear drop down my face and possibly it could have hit the door. I looked at Dean through my blurry vision. Bruising was all around his face and down the neck and you could see where the seat belt had caught him. Another tear fell. I felt the warm embrace of his mother around me and I took it placing my hand on hers.
