I sat in Dean's office waiting for him to get here. I had explained everything to my mom and dad, along with Koda, and now it was just me and Koda against a whole firm. Leave it to Mr.Blake to need mom and then for dad to be gone on another business trip the one day I need them. Instead I was here with my best friend waiting to defeat the wicked bitch and my Dean over our unborn child.
"You would have to get pregnant by the hot guy with the crazy bitch girlfriend." Koda said crossing her arms.
"Good to know your thoughts." Dean's voice booked behind us causing us both to jump and look at him. He closed the door behind him and to our surprise he was alone. He took a seat behind his desk and looked at us. It was two against one and I feel the odds were in our favor.
"Koda, could you leave me and Kelsey for a moment?" Dean reasoned with her and she looked to me for approval. I nodded my head and on cue she got up and left the office. My eyes stayed on her and then focused on the lobby where a fumed Amanda sat.
"Well hey, bit-" Kodas words were cut off by the door closing and I looked back to Dean.
"What does she have to even do with this?" I questioned and he just leaned back in his chair.
"She wanted to come but she has nothing to do with us. Why didn't you tell me you wanted to consider adoption?" He asked giving me a look as if he was trying to find a hidden truth.
"I wasn't at first. I'm not doing this alone Dean and you're definitely not doing this with Amanda. If you want to try then tell me and not parade your perfect girlfriend in my face." I spat in a serious tone.
"You sound like a teenager." He retorted and I laughed.
"I am a freaking teenager, I have been a teenager. I'm seventeen." I let my anger flame up at him and silence filled the room once more.
"So lets do this, me and you." My eyes looked at him and he went on, "Amanda came along after you left and started working with my sister. I've known her my whole life Kels but if she makes you want to just give up on us and let this baby go to a different family than us then she isn't worth it. Do you not remember everything we said before you left? I'll always be here. I'll be here for you, for our baby. I'd do anything to keep you two happy. I was here, I was involved before you left us was us against everyone. Lets just go back to that." He finished his spill and all I could think about was Amanda.
"She lives with you. How are you even going to break up with her? She loves you, she really loves you and I can see you love her." I voiced to him and it was his turn to be in thought.
"Amanda loves the idea of a safety net. I'm a safety net. She looses her job or her dad cuts the family money off I'm there to catch her. As for me and her, nothing is there. Not for me anyway. Having her around was a good thing when your parents sent you away. Made it look as if it wasn't me or I had anything to do with you leaving. People did ask if I knew anything and of course I did. I was scared of what most would say about me going after a seventeen year old but if you want to tell people then let's tell. " He explained and everything started to make since to me. He didn't love her yet he didn't want to get rid of her, but I did.
"If we don't tell people she will. You know she will. She told you about me seeing social services before I had a chance to tell you. She made me hate you and you hate me. If she's around you then I don't want this baby around you." I told him and he got up to sit on the desk in front of me.
"You know, they are probably out side thinking we are really fighting or something and we are talking about actually raising this baby together?" He said placing a hand on my stomach. It was something I hated. I mean you know how awkward that is, someone rubbing your belly.
"Actually we are talking about getting rid of that bitch Amanda." I mocked, standing in front of him. His smile covered his face and his arms wrapped around me. I pushed him back looking at his face. Every detail was perfect. His jaw was perfectly sculpted, his eyes could make you get lost with just a glance. I loved everything about him yet I felt as if I could never have him with Amanda in the way.
She was beautiful and his age. His father even approved of her. Maybe it was the teenage hormones or pregnancy hormones but either way I think I started falling for Dean just like I had when I started working for him. His smile was almost too perfect.
"So what's our plan?" He asked wrapping his arms around my waist as far as they could go.
"Day by day?" I suggest and he nodded his head.
"Sounds great." I guess in a moment I forgot I wanted to leave dean out of my life but he made it seem all perfect.
"So when will we ditch Amanda?" I asked and he chuckled.
"As soon as I find out the gender of my baby." He retorted and I chuckled this time and gasped. I had forgotten to tell him.
"You really wanna know? I didn't at first but then now I'm glad I know, you know? Like now I feel like I'll be prepared and all and man it's like a mini life saver kind of. But like at the same time it would have cool to be surprised and all and -" my words were cut off by Dean.
"Yeah, I'm sure I want to know." He said laughing and my rambling.
"Yeah, sorry, I ramble when I'm-" ,
"nervous." Dean finished my sentence. I smiled a at Dean. I had already told him that once before.
"So are you going to tell me the sex of my baby or?" He went on.
"Oh yeah." I said pulling my phone out to show Dean the sonogram.
"There." I told him pulling the photo up and handing him the phone.
"Wow." He said smiling at the phone. "She looks just like you." He marveled at the photo and then back at me.
"Yeah, I guess she kind of does." I smiled looking at the photo.
"But she definitely is going to have your eyes." I told him and he nodded in agreement. Thing seemed to finally be perfect.
