Mr. Blake's Baby

Nice To meet you

I looked at all the eyes who hand handed on me. Most hadn't seen me since I was barley pregnant and now here I was very pregnant. The chatters went on and everyone went back to the conversation they were having which gave us the signal to find out seats. Sitting close down towards the end we found our names. It sat me my dad and then my mom. Mom was sat beside another assistant from the office and as soon as she sat they chatted away. Dad talked with the man across from him, only exchanging a few words about hunting or business.

 I sat there by myself listing to everyone's conversation. I learned Mr. Blake was on the place card at the head of the table and Dean was across from me. Being curious I looked over to see the place card beside me. Amanda. Maybe she was new in the firm I was not sure. We sat another five minutes before Mr. Blake sat at the head of the table greeting everyone. Dean scurried to his seat and sat down not sparring a glance at me. I don't even think he realized I was in front of him. He greeted the guest beside him and glanced at his phone. I started at him till I felt my dad nudge me in the side a little.

 I only saw Dean move when a tall, slender brunette girl walked in the room. He stood up immediately, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissing her temple. She moved around the end of the table, hugging Mr. Blake as she walked by. He smiled at her as she took her seat next to me. 

"Hey, I'm Amanda." She said hold her hand out to me. I took it and shook it with a smile.

 "I'm Kelsey." I told her looking at Dean. He had looked up from his phone when I said my name and stared at me.

 "Oh, Kelsey! It is so great to meet you!" She said pulling me in a side hug.

 "You too." I said returning the hug and I looked back at Dean who seemed had his eyes stuck on me. 

"Baby." I heard Amanda call and he snapped to her as did I. Baby. They were dating. I turned my attention back to the empty glasses and plates in front of me. Waiters came around filling them all up with champagne. 

"She can't have that." Dean spoke as the waiter poured some in my glass. He looked up.

 "I'm sorry Miss. any other beverage I could interest you in? We have other wines and-" the waiter was cut off by Dean's voice. 

"She's pregnant." He said, making my head snap to him along with Amanda's. 

"Water will be fine." I told him and the waiter scurried away.

 "How did you know that?" Amanda asked putting a napkin in her lap. I watched Dean straighten up and I watched as he looked for an answer.

 "I worked in his office briefly filing some paperwork." I told her and she nodded at me accepting my answer. 

"Please excuse me. I need to go freshen up." announced my mom standing up, putting her napkin on the table. 

"Which way?" She asked Dean and I replied for him. 

"Down the hall and it's the fourth door on the right." I told her and Amanda's eyes stayed on me along with some people from the office.

 "I'll show you." I told her standing up too, pushing my chair back and pushing it back it. Amanda's eyes stayed on my stomach as did Dean's and his fathers. I made my way down the hall with my mother behind me. I moved out of her way of the door which held the bathroom on the other side and returned to the table taking my seat. 

"So how long did you work for Liam?" Amanda asked as plates were placed in front of us. 

"Only a couple of months and then I moved in with my grandparents." I told her putting a a napkin in my lap.
