•Dean's POV•
I sat on my couch with Amanda on one side and Kelsey on the other. Amanda's arms were looped with mine and Kelsey sat there texting away on her phone. When Kelsey showed up two hours ago I didn't expect Amanda to invite her to dinner or for Kelsey to accept but hey, here we are.
"Have you thought of names?" Amanda leaned up and looked at a annoyed Kelsey. It was obvious something I hadn't talked with her about so her answer surprised me.
"Actually yes, Brianna Evelyn, and of course Dean's last name." She added on the end with a bit of sass.
"Where did you get that from?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"You don't wanna know." She replied and went back to her phone. It had been a week since she had told me the sex of our baby and since then Kelsey and Amanda has had four fights. Four. In a week. I tried staying out of it as much as I could and did a pretty good job of it until about thirty minutes ago when Amanda had a different idea about the baby. Of course it's something only girls would worry about. Santa. Of all things Santa.
"Can I see you in the kitchen?" Kelsey said getting up and walking to the kitchen.
Kelsey's POV••
I waited in the kitchen for Dean to walk through the door. When he finally did I was quick to pounce.
"Really? Santa? She wants to fight me over Santa? What the hell does she have to do with this baby anyway? Why is she still here?" Questions spewed out of my mouth and Dean's eyes rolled to one side. To be fair we did try to include him in every disagreement we had. But once again I failed to see where it was her place.
"You said you were going to end things a week ago!" I added on and his eyes came back to me.
"I know. I've mentioned it to her. But why are you fighting over Santa. Every kid believes in Santa, it's not going to hurt her." He said and my eyes went wide.
"I did not! I knew there was no Santa, it's not logical. You can not go across the world in one day and to every house. Any kid with a mind can figure it out." I said putting my hand on my hips and looking at him.
"That's the fun of Christmas, you know believing in something." Dean continued to argue his case and it was my turn to roll my eyes.
"No Dean, I will not lie to my child." I firmly told him and he threw his hands up in defeat. I smiled, satisfied that I had won. I walked past dean and back into the living room where Amanda sat on her phone, smiling.
"Well, I hope you are watching funny cat videos with a smile that big." I spoke as I sat in front of her. Her eyes came to me as she snapped down the phone and caused the screen to go black. My eyebrows raised at her fast movements.
"It is none of your business, miss Kelsey." Her voice was sweet and innocent as ever. She was up to something. I squinted my eyes at her and her eyes rolled. Dean walked in the room and sat on the other couch at the end of the room and my eyes shot to him. He wasn't about to choose to sit by one of us and not the other and it was amusing.
"Well, I am needed at the office but I'll see you late, babe." Amanda said getting up and collecting her things from around her. I watched as she walked towards Dean and kissed him before walking out. Once I knew she was gone I let out a groan.
"I'm allowed to be a drama teen but seriously. Why is she here?" I asked once more and he laughed.
"Because, I have to give Lexi time to start getting tired of her. It has happened before and it will again." He spoke of the past so freely and I took that to my advantage.
"Again?" I asked as I got up and sat beside him. I curled as much as I could into him, resting a hand on my stomach.
"Yeah, Amanda went after Lexi's boyfriend back when we were in high school. Lexi tired staying with him but after the baby she couldn't." He said rubbing circles on my hand and my body shot up.
"Amanda's had a baby?" I asked as if I had learned the worst thing about her. He nodded his head and then something else clicked. Amanda was trying to talk to Dean before I came around and then I got pregnant under Amanda's nose. It's almost a repeat of what happened with them.
"Wait, is that why Amanda doesn't like me?" I asked and his eyebrows went up and eyes looked amused.
"It is! Why did you not tell me?" I asked hitting his chests and his laugh broke out.
"Because it's Amanda's secret, not mine." He said running the spot where I hit him.
"Where the kid?" I asked and his shoulders shrugged.
"I don't know. He's just about seven or eight. Maybe younger." He stated and I started to do the math in my head.
"What grade did she have him?" I asked and he threw his head back in thought.
"After we graduated. Like she was two months at graduation " He stated and that answer was good enough.
"Seven or about to turn seven." I told him and he nodded his head.
"I was close enough. Anyway, don't throw that in Amanda's face, please. I've only met Dylan twice and he's a nice kid." Dean let out and my eyes snapped to him and I laughed.
"You met the kid twice and still could not remember his age?" I asked with an amused smiled and he laughed. "He's not my kid to remember." He laughed back and I leaned back down onto him with his arm around me. "Besides, I have my own little princess to worry about."
