The End

If you have ever been in an awkward situation and it made you want to die then I'm sure you know how I feel right now. I was currently sitting between Koda and Dean. To add to it my parents sat across from me while Dean's family was down the table. So the question is how did we get here. Well, that's a great question.

About two hours ago I stood in the kitchen helping my mother cook dinner while Brianna swung in a swing. Of course she cooed because she hates it but I was busy at the moment. Koda was coming over for a family dinner along with Dean's family. It wasn't the best idea my mother had ever had and me and my dad even tried talking her out of it. We had no luck but it was worth the shot.

Of course, like always, Dean's family was the first to show up-without Dean. My dad came next because we made him pick up Koda and then lastly Dean. Dean had taken his sweet time to get here.

"Your home is so lovely." Mrs. Blake said with a fake smile and my mom gave one back to her being followed by a thank you. I hadn't let anyone see Brianna and as far as I know Dean's family hadn't even held her. They have seen her a few times in her car seat.

"Can we talk?" Dean whispered in my ear as I took this to and from the table preparing for the meal. I nooses my head before setting the plate of spaghetti down. I followed closely behind Dean and he led he up stairs and to my room. He had shit the door behind us and turned to face me.

"Amanda called off the wedding." He told me and my eyes widen with happiness but I contained it.

"Whys that?" I asked him in an innocent voice and he rubbed his hands over his face like he does when he is nervous.

"You." He stated looking at me with his blue eyes I had fallen in love with. Me. I was going to ask what he meant but he had more to say. "She knows how you feel about me. But I don't, How you really feel about me, Kelsey." His words lingered in my mind. I knew how I felt but putting them in words was something I would choke at. His eyes stayed on me as my mind thought.

"Yes, yes I have feelings for you but I understand if you don't feel the same." I told him as his head started to shake at me. I let my eyes fall to the floor.

"No, no." He said as he took my hands in his and leaned down to get to my eye level. I look at up and he stood up straight before talking again. "I don't think it's as strong as love but I know it's something." He explained and I could feel tears almost prick my eyes but they didn't. "I don't mean that bad but I just haven't spent time with you like I should. Bri needs her mom and dad together." He added on and I nodded my head.

"It's okay. I understand that." I told him and he nodded his head. "This whole thing is going to be a process. But we need to do this and I'm ready to do this." I told him and and smiled at me, rubbing my face with one of his hands.

"One day at a time, step by step." He told me and I nodded my head.

My heart fluttered at Dean and everything he was. I could see he future from here. He would be an amazing father to Brianna. He would be here and we would be the perfect family.

Or so I thought.
