Natsu POV:
We all walked in silence, I carried Lucy in my arms her clothes stained with blood and the blade still sticking out of her stomach. We avoided the train because it was only a short walk from where we left the dark guild members. The council had turned up just as Lucy's keys flew away and they couldn't even tell us they were sorry, they just told us to write a letter to the magic council and they would send some money to pay for her funeral. As we walked the tears and blood mixed together and dripped onto the ground causing a trail from Lucy's body. We all had something stained with blood, Erza's skirt was no longer blue it was a deep red colour, Wendy's cheeks were stained with blood because she'd wipes her tears with a blood stained hand, Grey's trousers from the knees down were Crimson and even the exceeds had some dried blood on their fur.

"Natsu....your scarf..." Happy says sitting on my shoulder.

The bottom of my scarf was covered in blood and also a handprint from Lucy's grip on my scarf not long before she died.

"Don't worry about it." I said with little emotion in my voice.

We arrive in Magnolia and head straight for the guild hall taking the side streets to avoid distress, Wendy walks forward once we reach the guild hall and gives the door a push opening them wide. Everyone looks at us in fear and distress.

"What happened my children?" Master asks walking over to us as we walk inside.

Placing Lucy's body down on the guilds floor tears fill my eyes again.

"She died, saving me..." I say as the tears fall down my cheeks.

Master looks at us and then tears fill his eyes.

"Gildarts please take her to the infirmary, Mirajane and Lisanna can you please clean her body. If you don't feel you can I will send for two people to come and prepare her body for burial."  He says as Gildarts walks forward picking Lucy's body up into his arms.

Mirajane and Lisanna follow and then master looks at us all sadly.

"Go get cleaned up, meet me in your office once your clean...." He says and disappears off into his office.

We all looked at each other and then walked to our homes, since mine doesn't have a bathroom I decided to take a shower in the guild hall. I walked into the bathroom and took off my clothes, they were sticky and felt horrible. I gagged slightly as I climbed into the shower, the water turning Crimson as it fell from my body. Images of Lucy kept appearing in my head. Her cheerful smile, her stupid laugh that could always make you laugh with her, her golden hair and chocolate orbs that looked like they held mysteries and magic.

"Why did you leave?" I asked aloud as I turned the shower off.

Stepping out I noticed my clothes had been changed and my scarf was damp from someone trying to get the blood from it, I picked it up and noticed it held Lucy's scent. A soft blend of Strawberries and Vanilla that would always soothe me on long train journeys. I change into the black shirt and trousers that were left for me and then put my scarf around my neck, not bothering to dry my hair I walk to masters office. Walking in I notice I'm the last one there, everyone is wearing dark clothes and the mood is sombre. Master walks to me and points to a chair, nodding I walk over and sit down as Happy comes over and jumps into my lap.

"My dear ones, I'm sorry you had to venture on such a dangerous job. If I had known that the job involved you taking on Dragons Vengeance then I would never have allowed you to go, and because of my carelessness we lost a dear guild member. Please forgive me." He says with tears in his eyes.

"Dont worry Master....its not your fault." Erza says looking down so her bangs cover her eyes.

Wendy sniffs silently in the corner and Carla sits in her arms trying to comfort her.

"Lucy made plans if this was to happen." Master says pulling some papers from his desk.

"What?" I ask looking up.

"She knew that some jobs were more dangerous than others so decided to give me these documents." He says passing them to Erza. "Its funeral plans, Lucy covered everything from the coffin to the people who would speak..."

At that point I walk out of the room, I knocked Happy off my knees and just walked right out of the guild. I don't know where I was going but I found my self taking the familiar route to Lucy's apartment, jumping to the window I slid it open to be hit with her scent. Its stronger here than on my scarf, looking around at how neat and tidy it is I can't help but feel like I'll ruin it. I walk to Lucy's desk and look at all the letter's she's written to her mother, tears fall from my cheeks as I think of the two of them together at last. As I look through them at the dates I notice one addressed to me, sliding open the lip on the back I pull out the letter and begin to read.

Dear Natsu,

If your reading this it must mean that I'm not coming home. Was it my fault? Of course you wouldn't tell me even if it was, I'm sorry that you have to be in the guild alone now. I know everyone will be sad but please tell them not to be, they made my life worth living. Although it was cut short the years I spent in Fairy Tail were the best of my life, I don't know if I told you when I died or if it was too sudden but I always loved you Natsu. You were so dense and stupid, but thats what I loved about you. Even when I was at my darkest like when Phantom came to try and make me go back to my dad, you always made sure that I was safe and you even risked your life to keep me in the guild. If them master hasn't told you then ask him, but I made funeral plans incase something happened to me. Its all been paid for so all you have to do is invite the people closest to me. Promise me my death wont cause you and the others grief for too long, as my final wish.

Take care of the guild for me.

Love

Your Lucy.
