The Dragon Princess

Chapter 4

Natsu POV:

I just stare at this girl, she's a dragon slayer and they called her cursed?! I feel my flames begin to grow hotter and hotter until I'm ablaze with flames, all the anger I've felt over the past week has exploded right out of me. But she doesn't look scared.

"You ok?" She asks me.

She then places a hand on her head and her eyes fill with tears.

"Mommy! Where are you? Can you come and get me and explain everything?!" She asks pressing both hands onto her head.

"Telepathy magic?..." I whisper watching her.

"Everyone stop shouting! Your making my head hurt." She says giving her head a small knock. "Mommy? I have to stay here? But I want to come home, what about Sakura? She's missing me I can feel it!" 

She then nods her head and walks to the back of the cell, our conversation is clearly over. My flames disappear so I walk back to the bar to speak with Master about Lucy, sitting down he eyes me carefully.

"You were down there for a long time my boy, what were you talking to her about?" He asks me taking a sip from his beer.

"I asked her about her magic." I say picking up some beer for my self. "Thanks Mirajane."

She offers me a small smile and then listens to our conversation.

"What magic does she use?" He asks setting his tankard down.

"She's a dragon slayer like me, Wendy and Gajeel. But something is different about her, she has no scent and I can't feel any magic energy coming from her." 

"Thats because of the shackles she has on, it blocks any kind of magic energy that we would be able to detect. And because her scent must be powerful its blocked also, strange that they would call it a curse though. There are many dragon slayers who are valuable to society, like you and then other slayers in sabertooth." Master says scratching his chin with his hands.

The guild doors then swing open and a messenger from the Magic Council walks in holding a letter, hopping slightly while He/She walks. These guy's are so weird...they're Frogs!

"Message for Master Makarov from the Magic Council, new rules on the keeping of the prisoner known as the Female Zeref. Rule number one: She must be made to work for the guild, she must work from dawn until midnight every day. Rule number two: She must also have to accompany the team known as Team Natsu on their jobs so that she may be supervised at all times. If she uses her magic energy her shackles will send a powerful shockwave through her body causing her great pain. That is all." The frog man says and walks out. But before he does he says one more thing. "Its also a rule that you don't show her any kindness, if she does anything that you don't like you must punish her. Its the only way she'll be tamed."

"How can you not show a child kindness?" Bisca asks picking up her daughter.

"I understand, but its the rules..." Master says sighing.

He then walks down to the cell and then drags Lucy out throwing her onto the floor of the guild, she coughs slightly and places a hand on her head. Are the people talking to her again?

"You will be working for us now, you will be serving and cleaning up after the guild members and also going with our strongest team on jobs. When they are on the jobs you will do all the work, however..." He says raising his hand.

She flinches back and we all watch wide eyed thinking that Master is going to hurt her, but he lowers his hand on one of her shackles and it shatters and falls off her wrist.

"We are going to help you control your magic, I understand that you may not have had the correct training to be able to control your magic. But we're going to help you, we have three dragon slayers here who will be able to help you. Now can you tell us what element you use?" Master asks as she stares at him wide.

"I'm not aloud to say...." She says looking down.

"I'm afraid you have to child, we won't tell anyone. That I can assure you." Master says offering her a small smile.

She places a hand on her head and then whispers. "Can I tell them?" 

She nods and then opens her eyes and looks at Master.

"I'm an Elemental Dragon Slayer." She says.

I take a sniff and then her scent becomes intoxicating, she smells like a dragon. And I mean lots of dragons, there is one scent that causes me to run over and grab her shoulders.

"Where is Igneel?!" I yell at her.

"Igneel? Do you mean my uncle Iggy?" She asks. "Yeah I know where he is, he's back home." 

"Can you take me to him?!" 

"No." She says simply. "He can't see you yet."

"Then fight me! If I win the fight you take me to see Igneel, and you also bring Wendy and Gajeel to see their dragons Metalicana and Grandine." I say angrily looking at the small girl.

"Natsu, leave her alone." Wendy says walking over.

"If you would like to fight me, then I have to accept. Mcana always told me never to back down from a fight, and Iggy agreed with him." She says standing up. "Where will we fight?" 

"We'll take this outside, gramps?" I say looking at him.

"Don't kill each other, thats all I ask..." He says with his hands on his face.

We walk out and the whole guild follows us, they crowd around us and then place bets. Not surprising that most of the votes go on Lucy because she's been called the female Zeref, I crack my knuckles as Erza walks over to me.

"What? Going to scare me?" I ask smirking.

"No just be careful, she only has one shackle off and you can already feel the strong magic energy coming off her in waves." Erza says glancing over as Lucy ties her hair into a bun with some fabric from her dress.

I nod and then Mirajane walks to the centre of the arena.

"No injuries that can be life threatening, also nothing that would destroy the surrounding area. The match will begin Now!" She yells and then runs out of the arena just as master surrounds us with a protective barrier.

"Fire Dragon Roar!" I yell and her body is surrounded by a ball of fire.

I give a cheer but then there is a sucking noise, I glance over at her and notice she's eating my flames. Her hair is slowly turning crimson and so is her good eye, so thats what she meant when she said her hair and eyes don't always stay that colour.

"Fire Dragon Mode Activated." She says smirking.
