Narrator POV:
Five wizards were running from a group of bandits who were from the dark guild Dragon's Vengeance. The blonde wizard pulled one of the keys from her hip in attempt to buy them some time.

"Open Gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!" She yelled.

"Lucy keep going I'll take care of these guy's!" The bull spirit yelled as they continued to run.

Hey kept running until the cries of the mob were far behind them, pausing to catch their breath they glanced angrily at the pink haired dragon slayer.

"We told you we needed to be quiet Natsu!" The red haired wizard yelled angrily.

"I tried Erza! The place was so dusty I couldn't help but sneeze!" Natsu yelled at her.

Lucy POV:

I sigh and then feel my keys jingle on my hip, this can only mean one thing!

"Danger! Run!" I yell and everyone breaks off into a run.

The cries of the dark guild get louder and louder and I feel my self becoming tired, why do I feel so weak? I noticed Wendy was slowing down and Carla was trying to encourage her to keep running.

"Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu yelled.

A tunnel of flames exploded from his mouth in a scorching attack, it hit most of the members which gave me and Wendy a chance to catch up.

"Open Gate Of the Lion! Loke!" I yelled and he appeared before my eyes.

"I can buy you some time but your magic energy is low, while you can Lucy!" He yelled at me.

"Thanks Loke." I yell and run off.

We run into a clearing and then end up surrounded by the dark guild, Natsu ignites his hands with flames, Erza re-quips a sword, Grey gets into his Ice Make Stance and Wendy stands ready to attack. I select two keys and prepare to open their gates when I suddenly feel weak, falling to my knees Natsu comes running over to me.

"Luce?! What's wrong?!" He asks me shaking the flames from his hands.

"I feel so weak, must have used too much magic energy. Sorry for being weak..." I say offering a small smile.

"Your not weak Lucy!" He offers me a hand.

Taking it I pull out my whip ready to attack.

"NOW!" Erza yells and we all break off taking down the guild members until there are none left.

I sit down panting and glance around at the destruction. The guild Dragons Vengeance was the most powerful dark guild outside the Balam Alliance, and after taking down those this should have been easy. Big mistake.

"Everyone ok?" I ask weakly.

"Yeah, but man I'm all fired out." Natsu says flopping down on the grass.

I smile slightly as he sits up then with a jump stands up, but something catches my eye. I glance over and notice one of the guild members standing up weakly, pulling a dagger from his pocket. Everything then goes in slow motion, I rise to my feet and then run as fast as I can jumping in front of Natsu. Just as the blade slides into my stomach. Falling to the ground Natsu sends a fire ball at the member knocking him out cold, Erza walks over and lifts my head onto her lap. Wendy, Grey, Erza, Happy and Carla are all crying but Natsu just looks angry.

"Why did you do that Lucy! I could have knocked that blade away and now!...." He yelled pointing to the blade which was still sticking out of my stomach.

"Sorry Natsu, I didn't mean to make you angry." I say coughing slightly as blood drips from my mouth. " I have one last thing to ask...."

Natsu POV:

I glance at Lucy with angry tears falling from my face, how could they do this to her! She is so innocent and pure and they have stained her with her own blood.

"I have one last thing to ask...." She asks trying to wipe the blood away from her mouth.

Kneeling down I take her small hand in mine, she's so small right now.

"Tell me Luce..." I ask barley getting the words out.

"I'm leaving Fairy Tail." She says her breath becoming ragged.

"If your leaving Fairy Tail there are three rules you have to follow...." I start.

"Rule number one." Grey adds. "You must never reveal any sensitive information about Fairy Tail to others....for as long as you live.."

"Rule number two." Erza says wiping the tears from her eyes as they drop onto Lucy's face. "You must never use former contacts met through your being in the guild for personal gain." She says breaking down.

"Rule number three...." Wendy starts but then breaks into sobs.

"Rule number three...Though our paths may have diverged, you must continue to live out your life with all your might, you must never consider your life to be something insignificant, and you  must never forget about your friends. For as long as you Live!" I yell finishing the three Fairy Tail farewell rules.

Lucy looks as us all and then turns over her right hand, she looks at it then smiles.

"Thank you all for everything, I can't imagine my life without the guild. Tell them I'm sorry for always getting into trouble and tell Levy I've finished my book. It's in my apartment all ready for her to read..." She then begins to take smaller and smaller breaths as her lungs fill with blood.

"Wendy...is there anything?" Erza asks the young dragon slayer.

"Her wounds are too severe, the blade went through her lung and then into her stomach..." She says as Grey wraps an arm around her.

We hold Lucy's hands and tell her how much we love her, but there is something I want to tell her while she still has air in her lungs.

"Lucy, please don't leave me...I love you..." I say choking on my tears, I feel Lucy's hand find its way to my cheek as she wipes away my tears.

"I love you too Natsu....I'm sorry we couldn't be together. Will I see mother and father again?" She asks me her chocolate brown eyes becoming cloudy.

"Yeah...you will. They are waiting for you to come and see them again, tell them I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." I say wiping my eyes and holding her hand to my cheek.

"But you did protect me....you protected my heart with yours..." She says and then her eyes flutter closed.

We just sit and stare as the colour begins to fade from her cheeks and the blood begins to pool around us, but suddenly her body begins to glow a golden colour. Something golden comes out of her and her keys almost respond to it, flying into the air the gold cloud and keys fly off like a shooting star. Leaving us all to live with our grief.
