Natsu POV:
"Get away from the dragon Lucy." I say walking towards her slowly.
"Stay away Natsu, she's a baby. She misses her mother...." Lucy says stroking the head of the dragon.
We all just stare at her, her eyes are filled with tears and you can tell she loves the dragon.
"Lucy she's the one who's covered this place in snow, do you know why?" Erza asks stepping forward slightly.
"Its because she doesn't know how to use her magic yet, because she hatched not too long before I came here her parents haven't taught her how to control her magic." Lucy explains. "I guess before I send her home I should help her learn how to at least stop sending everywhere into eternal winter, come on Frost. Time to wake up." Lucy says giving the dragon a soft shake.
The dragon yawns sending a flurry of snowflakes out of its mouth, opening its deep purple eyes it glares at us. Lucy tuts and gives the dragons nose a soft tap, she then motions for her to follow her to the lake. The dragon follows like a little puppy over to the lake, Lucy then changes her hair and eye colour to the same ice blue as last time but this time she adds some ice skates onto her feet, gliding out onto the ice she motions for the dragon to follow her.
"Come on Frost, don't you want to show mama how good your magic's gotten?" Lucy asks her smiling.
Lucy POV:
As I stood on the ice the others sat down on a log ready to watch, but I couldn't focus on then right now. Frost was clearly scared so I decided to use my ice magic to show her mother to her.
"Ice Make, Snow Dragon Mother! Eira!" I yell and a huge ice dragon appears on the ice next to me.
"Ice make magic?" Grey asks.
I nod and then brace my self because Frost comes running forward to the ice sculpture of her mother, she has what looks like a small reunion and then stands poised and ready.
"Right, first you need to stop breathing snow all over the place Frost. Try expelling your magic energy as if you were sending an attack, try it on that tree over there." I say pointing to a tree on the side of the lake.
Frost nods at me and then sends a powerful attack at the tree causing it to freeze and then shatter, I nod and then check how cold she is. When I stroked her last time I could only do it in small strokes because she was too cold, but now she has a little heat in her. Good. This means she's able to control a little more of her magic.
"Good job Frost! Next why don't you try clearing the snow from this area?" I ask because if that works she can help the town.
Frost nods and begins to inhale the snow from the area, it slowly disappears and she's left there licking her lips. The heat from the now blaring sun shines down on us, but the next thing I hear is cracking. I look down and notice large cracks crawling along the ice Frost jumps into the air just as it cracks pulling me into its watery depths, my breath escapes in large bubbles as I try to swim to the surface. But my leg is caught on something so no matter how hard I try to swim its not working, I try using my Water Dragon Slayer Magic but its not working. I try to scream trying to get someone to help me but my eyes begin to close as my oxygen level does down, until I'm unconscious in my watery grave.
Natsu POV:
As soon as I saw Lucy fall into the water I knew something wasn't right, we sat waiting for about five minutes and she still didn't come up for air. I was starting to get nervous, I stood up and looked into the water and saw her foot was caught on something. And she wasn't moving. Without a second thought I dove down into the water and tried to untie her foot, she was stuck tight so I used my fire magic to burn the weeds. Holding her in my arms I swim to the surface, she's slightly blue and freezing cold. I place her down on the damp grass and listen to her chest, nothing. I begin to pump hard in her chest trying to get her heart going again, I refuse to let this kid die.
"Wendy help me!" I yell to her.
She nods and runs over holding her hands over Lucy trying to help me send life back into her body, then with a cough water spews from Lucy's mouth and her eyes open slowly. She looks at me with those pale grey eyes and I hold her tightly in my arms, why do I feel this way towards her?
"Lucy are you ok?" Erza asks kneeling down.
"I...think...so..." She whispers.
"What happened down there?" I ask sitting her on my lap.
"I tried to swim, but my foot was stuck." She sniffs as tears fill her eyes. "I tried to use my magic but it wouldn't work, I tried to scream but no one heard me....I was so scared..." She says as the tears begin to fall.
I hold her in my arms as she shivers, must be cold. I light a pile of wood on fire and walk over with her in my arms, sitting down I place her next to the flames and she instantly looks better.
"Natsu, a word please?" Erza asks walking deep into the forest.
The dragon walks over to Lucy and sits down next to her, Lucy then falls asleep nestled into the dragon who wraps its wing around her to provide much needed heat. I walk to Erza who looks at me with soft eyes.
"What you did back there...." She starts "You saved her life, if it wasn't for your quick thinking she would be dead right now."
I scratch my head and then sit down. "I couldn't let her die Erza, there was nothing I could do for my Luce but I knew how to help her." I say pointing to the direction of Little Lucy.
"You care about her don't you?" She sits down next to me resting a hand on my shoulder.
"I can't describe it Erza..." I say sighing.
"Freed has a theory." Erza starts. "When I took him and Laxus's team to see Lucy's grave he came up with this theory, he said that maybe time moved quicker where Lucy came from. And he said that maybe that Lucy could be the daughter of our Lucy."
"What?! Thats ridiculous! Lucy wouldn't give up her child if she ever had one!" I yell angrily.
"I'm just telling you Natsu, she does act like you sometimes." Erza says smiling slightly.
I walk off back to where Lucy is sleeping, I sit down next to her and the dragon who looks at me with large purple eyes.
"What you looking at?" I ask it.
"She'll need you one day." The dragon tells me using telepathy. "One day she will have to make the hardest decision of her life, and she'll need your support Son Of Igneel."
I gasp and then nod, if this is really Lucy's daughter then I'll protect her. Even if I couldn't protect my Lucy I'll protect this girl until my dying breath.
"I promise." I say and then wait for Lucy to wake up.
