The Dragon Princess

Chapter 7

Lucy POV:

I woke to the harsh sound of someone hitting a stick on the bars of my cell, opening my eye I notice its Makarov. I rub my eye and then run my fingers through my hair to try and get rid of some of the nots, I then nudge Sakura and we make our way out of the cell.

"How did you sleep Lucy?" He asks me.

"It was ok, a little cold but once Sakura changed into her wolf form it got a little warmer." I say and then wait for my orders.

"Right a guild team is coming back today and they haven't heard the news that one of our members passed away, and they don't know that your here. Please try to keep out of their way and just serve drinks as normal, and no magic today." He says and then points to the bar.

No one is at the guild at the minute so I decide to sit down and practice my letters, I haven't been able to read in a while and I don't want to forget. I pick up a stool and walk to the bar looking at the menu and what drinks are on offer, using my finger to help guide me I then begin to read aloud.

"What are you doing?" I hear someone ask.

Turning around I face a girl with short blue hair and a white cat, she has soft eyes that look like they were forced to grow up far too quickly.

"Um sorry ma'am I was practicing my reading, can I get you anything?" I ask turning to face her.

"No thanks, I'm Wendy Marvel and this is Carla my Exceed." She says introducing herself.

"Hey look Sakura, its someone who can be your friend." I say to her as she hies behind me.

"Don't worry she's nice." Wendy says smiling softly at Sakura.

"She can be a little shy with new people, I'm surprised she isn't hiding in her pixie form like normal." I say giving Sakura's head a fond stroke.

"Pixie form? Like a fairy?" She asks a hint of brightness crossing over her eyes.

"Yeah, she usually sits on my head when I was studying or when I was learning everything from my mommy." I say as more guild members begin to flood in.

Wendy waves to me and then walks over to sit with the red haired girl and a boy with dark blue hair and no shirt, Mirajane walks over to me and passes me a tray filled with drinks and I begin work. I carry a tray here, deliver drinks there, take food to the pink haired dragon slayer who fought me. As I'm carrying another tray the guild doors open, knowing I'm not supposed to stop working I carry the drinks to a blue haired girl who is reading a book on celestial keys. As I'm walking back to the bar a bolt of lightning hits my body sending me into agonising pain and then finally the sweet welcoming darkness.

Erza POV:

I watch as Laxus sends a huge bolt of lightning at Lucy and the guild is then filled with her screams of pain, I run towards her as she collapses and catch her in my arms.

"Whats going on here!" Master yells from the second floor.

"Laxus just attacked Lucy!" Wendy yells.

Master then walks over and asses her injuries, she's got burns over a lot of her arms and legs and also has some bruising.

"Why did you do this Laxus?!" Master yells at him.

"She's the convict we've been searching months for!" He yells back.

Freed then walks over and holds up a photo of Lucy, but she's dressed differently. In this she is wearing a beautiful white dress with a golden belt around her waist and a tiara in her white hair, attached to her hips are two key holders. One with the golden keys and another with the coloured keys.

"This can't be the same child." Master says examining the picture.

"We can assure you it is, the man who took the picture said he saw her coming out of a portal. And once she had fully stepped out of the portal the amount of magic energy he felt was beyond all imagine, he took the photo just as the child walked off into the forest." Freed says calmly.

"Wendy take Lucy for me, can you heal her?" I ask the young dragon slayer.

"Sure, Grey can you take her to the infirmary?" She asks as the two head off.

"Laxus, this child has been here for the past two days and before that she was with the magic council. This can't possibly be the same child." Master says looking at the photo.

"Its her alright." Sakura says walking over.

"What?" Everyone questions.

"When Lucy was captured she was on a training mission, she was told to come to your world and collect some silver celestial keys. Once she had those she was to make the journey home to form the contracts but she was captured, Celestia then sent me through to try and find her. My sense of smell is best when I'm in my wolf form so thats why I looked the way I did when I came to the guild." Sakura explains.

"But why does she look so royal?" Levy asks.

"Its up to her if she tells you all the details but what I will tell you is her mother is Queen of the Dragons, Queen Celestia Dragonite which makes Lucy..." She waits for us to click on.

"Princess of the dragons?" I say breathless.

"Correct, but there is more than that and Lucy will explain it all in time. But for now." She fly's forward and sends a deep scratch over Laxus's face. "How dare you hurt her! What was your gain in doing that?" 

"I was going to be paid 1MJ, and so were the members of my team. She has a large amount of magic energy that can help to power the whole of Fiore." He says as he touches the painful looking scratch.

"There is also some other news Laxus my boy, while you and your team were gone we lost a guild member." Master says and the mood goes sombre.

"Who left old man?" Laxus questions.

"Its Lucy, she was killed on a job." Master says and then walks to the infirmary to check on little Lucy.

Laxus's team all look at each other and then the news settles in, no more happy go lucky Lucy. No smiles when she enters the guild hall, no radiant sun.

"Where is she buried?" Freed asks.

"She's in the cemetery, not too far from where we buried Lisanna when we thought she died. Would you like me to show you?" I ask the team, I want to see Lucy my self.

Laxus nods so I lead him to the cemetery, when we looked over the notes that Lucy had left us when she died it would seem that she even chose the plot to be buried in. Its right underneath a rainbow cherry blossom tree, so every year she has the perfect view of the blossoms. We reach there and place some flowers down on the grave, we had one made that looked like the Fairy Tail guild symbol because thats what made Lucy into the strong person she was.

"So who's the girl in the guild and why does she look like Lucy?" Laxus asks on the way back to the guild.

"She's a prisoner from the magic council, they are deciding what to do with her so they needed someone to keep an eye on her. So they sent her to Fairy Tail, she's also an Elemental Dragon Slayer." I say sighing.

"Could she be the child of Lucy?" Freed asks.

"What thats insane, Lucy is seven years old and our Lucy died ten days ago." I say pausing to look at Freed.

"Well time traveled differently in the Celestial World did it not? Who's to say that time is the same where she came from to here." He says and places his hand onto his chin. "Didn't Lucy go on a solo mission a couple of weeks before she passed away? Maybe she had the child then and abandoned her." 

I think about it and then shake my head.

"No, Lucy would've told us about something like that. She wasn't one to keep secrets, and she only kept the one about her last name a secret because she wanted to feel normal and hide from her father." I say and we walk into the guild.

Lucy is walking around with bandages over her arms and legs, she must still be in pain because I can see it in her eye. But she's smiling brightly at everyone, and this causes me to think.

Could she be Lucy's child? And if so, who's the father?
