The Dragon Princess

Chapter 16

Natsu POV:

As we watched Lucy summon her dragon I couldn't help but smile, Master said that when the council would come and get her we wouldn't let them take her. He said from the second the guild mark was put onto her arm she became a member of our family, and we couldn't agree more.

"Dearest Storm." Lucy says smiling at the large dragon.

The dragon lowers its head and Lucy strokes the scales, they remind me of clear ice. Its wings have soft feathers and icicles on them, its eyes are a stormy grey colour and its as big as Igneel! 

"Princess." Storm says bowing down. "We've missed you at home, Chronos has even changed how time flows in our world so that you'll be able to come back to the world you remember."

"He's silly, he shouldn't do that because it can cause problems." Lucy says sighing. "I was wondering if you can help me with my maker magic, and also help my friend Grey here learn more." She points to Grey who looks a little shocked.

"Who taught you young Grey." Storm asks him.

"Um my master Ur." He says looking a little awkward. "She was killed fighting one of Zeref's demons."

"We've watched your world for a long time, I watched you learn your magic and might I say you learned quickly. Your master trained you well." Storm says and you can see Grey's eyes mist over.

"There is a looking pool in our world near the castle on Hōmu shima, I used to look into your world amazed. I have to say that Uncle Iggy, Aunt Dina and Uncle Mcana used to look into this world too. They were watching over their children." Lucy says smiling at us.

"They watched over us?" Wendy asks pinning her hair back with clips.

"Princess, matters of the Court of Dragons are not to be shared with others. Not even if they are the children of dragons." Storm corrects Lucy.

"Sorry, well can you teach us?" She asks smiling.

"Of course, and I'll tune your dragon slayer magic too. You haven't used it a lot since you've been here, what would you like to learn first." 

"Grey is there a type of maker magic you'd like to learn?" Lucy asks him.

"Um I'd like to learn Dynamic Ice Make magic, my magic is all well and good but when I need something to help me fighting my magic isn't too good." He admits scratching his head.

"HaHaHa! Ice magic is dumb anyway!" I yell laughing.

A dark shadow then looms over my body, gulping I look up and see Storm looking down on me with his steel gaze.

"Is there something wrong with the magic my family has cherished for the last ten centuries." He says in a booming voice. "Just like your father young Natsu." 

"I'm like my dad?" I ask in awe.

"Yeah, that hot head freak is a menace. How many times has the castle come to burning down Princess?" 

"Too many times, but mother always stopped the flames before it caused too much damage that Chronos couldn't fix it." Lucy says smiling.

Storm then begins to explain to Grey how to use Dynamic Ice-Make magic, he then begins to show Lucy how to use more effective Ice-Make skills and also improve her Dragon Slayer Magic. At the end of the day her and Grey are sweating and breathless. Lucy walks over to the dragon and gives his head one last stroke.

"I want to come home Storm, I miss mother and everyone else. Please ask her if I can come home." She asks.

"I will ask but you know what the answer will be Princess, but before I leave I have a small gift for you." He says and drops a suitcase onto the ground. "Your mother thought you should wear some clothes that match your status, even if you don't live at the palace anymore. She said you should dress in style, there is even a small tiara if my memory is correct." He says and then Lucy pulls out the key.

"Thank you Storm, tell everyone I miss them and I'll try to come home soon." She says and holds the key high above her head. "Close gate of the Blizzard Dragon!"

The dragon disappears and Lucy then opens the suitcase.

Lucy POV:

The suitcase is a beautiful brown leather and its full to the brim with clothes, there is a small box on top of them so I leave that for last. There are skirts, dresses, t-shirts and trousers. Not to mention about then different pairs of shoes, Erza looks over my shoulder in slight awe at the amount of clothes in a small suitcase.

"Mother packed this herself, she knows exactly what I like to wear. Lets take a look at whats inside this box then." I say and pull the box into my lap.

"Your mother packed this? But how could she if she's a dragon?" Erza asks picking up a blue dress.

"I'll put that one on I think, with the blue shoes. She has a human form like the other dragons so thats how she lived in the palace with me, most dragons never use their human form because they feel it taints them but mother did it so she could take care of me." I say and open the box. 

Inside is my tiara, its beautifully crafted by Crystallite the crystal dragon. She makes all the jewellery for the kingdom and she's very talented at her craft, the tiara is in the shape of twisted vines which are dotted with small flowers the actual tiara is a silvery crystal and the flowers are sapphires.

"This is exquisite, who made it?" Wendy asks looking at the tiara.

"Crystallite the crystal dragon, she makes everything." I say and place it onto my head.

I then pick up the blue dress and run behind a large boulder, pulling off my clothes I then put on my new dress. Its a beautiful blue and black dress with bead straps, adding my shoes onto my feet I look down at the ribbons. Stepping out I look down at the ground.

"Can someone help me with my bows?" I ask gulping.

Grey then walks over and shows me how to do my bows, he smiles at me and then gives my hair a pat. He's been able to learn more about Ice make magic and he and Storm has fun teasing Natsu who tried to use fire-make magic. Lets just say I'm glad I know water dragon slayer magic....
