'...Kenji...' a voice echoed.
'What am I supposed to do now? Follow him? No! It'd be stupid. I don't know where he went. I want to see him. I want to see if he really is my little brother. Izumi-'
'...Kenji...' a voice echoed.
'Izumi. A prison like place? Island of the dolls? Mark Daren? Adam? He knows about it all. That could not be possible. But if that was really him behind everything then... then...' Kenji thought, losing the sight of people around him. 'RAGNAROK...' he recalled.
'...KENJI...' Ishita screamed.
'WHAT?'
Ishita jolted back a little. She looked at him, scared but she held his hand tight. 'Calm yourself, please.' She was trembling.
'I'm sorry' he apologized. 'What is it?'
'Kenji, can you hear that sound?' Ishita stuttered. They were drenched completely and it was colder than any nights they spent.
They could hear it. Something loud was roaring towards them. They looked around and then turned back. They saw a giant wave at a distance.
'Ishita, get on the tree' Kenji said, hastily.
'What?' Ishita stumbled.
'JUST HURRY UP AND GET ON TOP OF THE TREE. YOU CAN'T OUTRUN THAT WAVE.'
The wave was coming closer at a tremendous speed. Eric was on his knees. Kenji shook him but he didn't respond. He looked lifeless, as if someone frayed his soul apart. He couldn't agree with Izumi's words. His mind rejected everything happening around him. Kenji's nor Ishita's voice reached him.
'I'll tell you everything about your father, SO JUST STAND THE FUCK UP ERIC' Kenji grabbed his arm and forcefully pulled him up on his feet. 'I'll carry him if I have to. But, I won't make it. Snap out of it Eric.'
They heard what Izumi whispered before his voice disappeared. 'Jillian?!' Kenji remembered.
Kenji could hear Eric muttering. It was faint but he heard it. He was trying to convince himself, or rather he didn't want to believe what Izumi said. He was once again fading into the darkness, not knowing the true color of this world and running from accepting the truth. 'It's not true. It's all a lie. It's not true. It's all a lie. It's not true. It's all a lie.' Eric kept on repeating these words.
'If you want to learn the truth then you have to do it yourself. Nothing will happen if you fall down without knowing anything. Don't be ignorant your whole life. You'll get your answers' Kenji said. 'Also, Charlotte is waiting for us. So get up.'
'Truth? Ignorant? Me? Maybe I was. Maybe I still am but, I want to know. Charlotte...'
'Shit! We won't make it in time' Kenji stopped and looked back. 'Damnit...'
'Don't give me that look Kenji. We'll make it alive from here and save Charlotte and Enna. After that you'd tell me everything' Eric said. 'I'll learn the truth about father. I won't die here. Mom... be safe.'
It was too late for them to climb the tree. Ishita had already reached halfway and was constantly screaming for them to get up quickly. They got on quickly and climbed up half way. The wave hit them hard. They held onto the first impact and started climbing higher.
But the second impact took down several trees along with theirs. They held on to the branches but the current was too strong. The trees were colliding among each other making it difficult for them to hold on. The third impact hit them hard and knocked Kenji down who was holding the branch behind Eric.
'KENJI....' Eric Screamed. 'Shit! Shit! SHIT!!! Ishita, Kenji fell from the impact. I can't see him' Eric screamed moving towards Ishita. 'LOOK FOR HIM.'
They looked around and called his name but he didn't respond.
Ishita moved closer to the wave. 'I can't see him... He... He's gone...'
