'They found the fuses Adam' Elina said.
'Oh my. Aren't they a bit late now! The show is about to end!'
'Is this what you wanted? Chaos? Destruction? Look what you've created. This is your evolution? Your Utopia?'
'Power is a curious thing. Who lives. Who dies. Power resides where men believe it resides. It's a trick, a shadow on the wall.' He looked back at her. 'Evolution, Utopia, this is what I'm going to grasp. Not everyone can understand the true meaning of evolution, nor can reach Utopia. So, will you back out now? Will you betray me too, Elina?'
She stood up and hugged him from behind. 'Are you doubting my love for you now? Betraying? Backing out? Nonsense! I'm here and will be beside you till the end of everything.'
'That settles it then, milady' he finished the last of his black velvet. 'Already over huh' he sighed.
'Want me to tell someone to fetch some more?'
'No. I need to look at the final act and I can't be drunk.'
'But you already are.'
'If you say so milady' he smiled. 'Also I disposed of your father. He was being a nuisance to me. He wanted to stop and release my research to the outside world. Not research but "your doings" is what he referred it to.'
Elina looked away. 'He wasn't a nice father to me anyway. But he was still-' she stopped. 'I'll go take a look at Eric' she said and left the room.
He walked over to the phone, called Mr. Nakamura and others one after another. He said the same thing over and over to everyone, 'The Final Curtain is about to be raised,' and he set the timer off. 'BOOM!' he laughed.

2 hours later
'Dr. Margaret!' Paul came sprinting inside her personal room, panicked.
'What is it, Paul?'
'The unreleased fuses we discovered have been released. We've confirmed that the amount of particles increased just a few minutes ago. Level 3 emergency was pulled down and, level 1 emergency has been declared' Paul said. He was sweating, scared but more of all, he was disappointed.
Dr. Margaret stood up from her chair, scared, worried. She is a strong person but this fear was now consuming everything. Even her.

1.2 million Casualties became 1.3 million. The causalities were rising every hour. WHO had no answer nor any counter-measures. Many personnel left the building to be beside their family and loved ones in their last moment.
Dr. Margaret and Paul were the only ones left. Many wanted to leave, others got infected and died, and the remaining personnel were relieved from their duties.
'What about you ma'am?' Paul asked looking out the window, at the thick Turquoise cloud which covered everything in sight.
'I just received a message. My family didn't survive. I want to be beside them right now. I'll leave but I don't have any answers for anything anymore. It's so frustrating! Is this how we'll fail?' she slammed her hand on the thick glass window. Frustrated. 'Besides, they'd want me to stay and fight till the end.' She looked at Paul, 'how many do you think are suffering because of this Paul?'
