They left the cliff without saying anything. Everyone helped each other in treating the wounded. No one uttered a word in those moments. All they could see was a path created by Kenji and Desmond for them to go home. Everyone got on board and for the last time, looked at the cliff and the sunset beyond it.
They could see the whole island from above. It was covered in darkness and despair. And from a distance they could see the small islands revolving around Helios just like the planets revolving around the almighty Helios. Izumi and the others noticed parachutes tangled, torn, lying around different parts throughout the island. Neither of them thought to go back in search for survivors.
There might be someone alive or, no one at all. It was over for them. 7 Crates were dropped. 43 people were sent into the never ending darkness, where little Amy was born and only 14 of them were escaping this darkness.
'Enna, come with me when we reach the surface' Izumi said.
'NO, Enna is coming with me' Evan interrupted. 'She is going home with me.'
'Yeah, she is' Izumi said and gazed outside the window. 'But there is something that I want to give her before we go our separate ways' he said. 'Also, everyone needs to watch out from now on. We did escape that hell but as long as Adam is alive, it's not over.'
Eric nodded 'If it comes to that, then I'll be the one to end my father's- No, Adam's life.'
'It's not over yet. He didn't send anymore of his people. It only means that we are no longer a threat to him and his Reaper' Izumi thought. 'Something big is going to happen. I have a bad feeling about this' he looked out at the sunset. 'Ragnarok.'
'I know a place where everyone will be safe' Izumi said. He didn't look back at them. He just gazed out the window. 'As soon as we reach the destination, I'll head there and you guys will relay this message to everyone else in the other chopper.'
'Where exactly is this place?' Ishita asked.
'Nakamura residence' Izumi answered. He explained them the coordinates. 'You'll be safe there.'
'Residence?!' Eric looked at Izumi, muddled.
'It is a residence but there is something that even Adam doesn't know about it' Izumi started. 'Father didn't just build a house. He built a safe passage underground which leads to a bunker. Only Nakamura family can open it' he explained. 'Other details will be explained when everyone reaches there. If you want to live then this is the only option. Adam is not going to stay still. He might have already figured it out that we escaped' he stopped. 'Also, Adam not coming after us is strange. He has already planned something. I must find it out' he bit his lower lip.
Evan was holding Enna close to her. He was scared of losing his little sister again. The promise he made to his mother, about protecting her, he failed to do so, but they protected her. Evan looked at everyone and was thankful to them. Now he had a clear vision, a clear thought of protecting her and his family.
'Mom and Dad are waiting Enna. They'll be so happy to see you' Evan said.
'I want to see them too' Enna said, slowly. 'I missed them brother' she whispered and fell asleep.
'Her face looks peaceful now' Izumi said. 'A kid shouldn't suffer like that. She saw something that someone of her age will never even imagine of. Things like real monsters. She suffered, cried, felt pain still, she stood strong and put up a brave front. She is a strong child' Izumi said, and brushed her hair out of her face.
'Yeah. She is' Evan agreed, looking at her calm, sleeping face.
'I'm sorry for your brother' Evan said and looked back at Izumi. 'I did not know him well but Enna did. I've never seen her cry like that' he clenched his fist in frustration. 'I promised my mother, my real mother that I'll always protect Enna and yet when she disappeared, I couldn't do anything but get frustrated and angry. It's all because I found that letter that I was able to reach here. Even after that all I did was shiver in fear, not able to fulfil my promise. Kenji protected her' he quavered. 'But I...'
'Don't carry all the burden by yourself kid' Izumi said. 'Kenji did the same his entire life. He blamed himself for the death of our mother, for not being able to protect me, for everything. But he fulfilled everything while protecting Enna and everyone else. It doesn't matter if you didn't do anything this time. There will come a time when you will have to face the danger to protect the ones you love. Don't back out then. Just remember to be kind, just like my big brother.'
Evan nodded.
After landing at a safe location, Izumi gave a quick warning to everyone to be aware of everything and everyone around them. Jillian relayed the coordinates to those who were on the other chopper.
A lot happened after they opened their eyes on Helios. Many died or sacrificed their lives to protect others and the ones standing there were all thankful to them. They looked at a distance, towards the location where Helios is. Deep inside they never want to go back to that hell. The memories carved inside them, the good ones and the bad ones, those memories will never leave.
Enna looked at Izumi and then towards Helios's location whispering 'Thank You Ken' and looked at everyone 'Let's go Home' she said and walked together with everyone.
----------------------
'- It's not over' a voice whispered and disappeared in thin air. Izumi looked behind, clenched his fists, 'yeah. It is indeed not over' he said and walked forward.
