"Hey Autumn, so on the last day of school before summer break there is a fair and it's really fun and I was wondering if you want to go with me?" I asked myself looking in the mirror. I hear laughter behind me as I turn around I see Danny covering his mouth trying to contain his laughter, "oh sure , I would love to just to Justin, maybe we can kiss behind the fireworks" my brother mocks me in a high voice do kiss faces
"Oh shut up" I giggle back punching him in the shoulder, "so your gonna ask her on a date?" He walks in planting a seat on my bed, "it's not a date" I sit next to him. "What is it then?" He questions once again
"It's just two close friends that happen to be the opposite gender going to a fair at night" I prove, shit it does sound like a date "in that case, it's definitely a date breaks out and walks out from my door, I grab my book bag and leave my house.
I meet Autumn at the corner I see her standing there on her phone but I don't think she saw me, PERFECT time to scare her. I keeps up to her and screamed so did she but louder "JUSTIN!" She whinges
(Time skip to at school)
We walk inside and I thought it would be the perfect time to ask her, "hey, do every year on the last day of school there is a fair and since it's the last day of school tomorrow, would you like to go with me?" I don't feel as nervous as before, I mean we are just friends. Just friends. It means nothing. Nothing. She nods "sounds fun, what time?" "It starts at roughly 4:30 but I thought we could go at 7?" She nods and the bell rings.
(At home)
I walk through my door and dumped the keys in the bowl, I did a little happy dance "dam why he so happy?"I hear Damon ask Danny, there playing Mario kart on the sofa
"I'm gonna guess because Autumn said yes to going to the fair with him" I nod and Danny pauses "good for you man" then continues playing the game
