By the time I woke up, it was about noon which is not normal for me. I lay in bed a while before I decide to get up. Just before I stand up I hear two people talk from downstairs, one of them obviously being Marian's father and someone whom I think is Guy. The conversation was too quiet to know what was being said. I get up from the bed as slowly and quietly as I can to get dressed. A moment after I get my shirt on the talking suddenly becomes silent. Quickly I make the bed as neatly as I can and I hide my clothes in an empty drawer. After a moment of thinking of what I should do, I queitly go down stairs and listens to the conversation without being seen.
"If ever you see the child then report to either me or the sheriff." Guy says.
"Even if I met her how would I know what she looks like, this Prodical Child?" Is he being serious or does he know that I'm the Prodical Child and isn't ratting me out?
"I'm sure you know of what she looks like. If I find that you are lying to me, there will be consequences." Guy responds. Before Marian's father could say anything, Guy leaves.
"Ok Rae, you don't have to hide anymore he's gone." He said after a minute or two.
"What was that about?" I ask.
"Once I saw the look on my daughter's face and how much she cared about you, I couldn't just hand you over to Guy. I don't know what it is he wants with you but I have a feeling that his intentions for that isn't good." Marian's father says.
"I know what he wants from me, he wants me to be dead. More than anything. And I'm glad I didn't come down here right away." I said.
"Why does he want you dead?"
"It's a long and complicated story." I answered.
