Saving an old Friend

I was falling behind from everyone else as we were walking in Nottingham and I had given up trying to catch up. I couldn't remember why we are even here. I know Robin had explained the plan before but he lost me at going into Nottingham. Before long they had disappeared into the crowd while I walked even slower. And since there is a large crowd, I'm not surprised that not even Robin even know I'm no longer near them. I really didn't feel like trying to find them so instead I went somewhere that didn't have very many people around that I had to squeeze pass.

Just as I find a slightly smaller isle between a couple buildings I push my way there and starts running my way down the isle and takes a right. While I'm walking I realize I've been down this way before. I continue walking as I end up on the far side of the castle seeing that there are no guards to be seen. I start to look for the ladder that I always climbed when I needed to get into the castle from above. I start to walk down one side of the castle I instantly see the ladder and climb up.

By the time I get to the top, I start walking to see where everyone is going. At the same time I'm trying to see if I can find the group. Before long I see someone next to the rope with a couple of black guards waiting to hang the person. I run to get a closer look to see who's standing there only to see that it was Sammy. From a distance he looked terrified. I tried not to flip out and just as one of the two guards looks up my direction I hide behind one of the blocks before he sees me.

"Psst" I turn to my left and see Robin behind the block next to me.

"How did you get here so fast?" I whisper to him.

"Because I'm fast. Why do you look so freaked out?" Robin asked. Before I answer I look to see if the guard is still looking and looks back to Robin.

"Because that's one of my friends that the Sheriff is about to hang." I say with a slightly squeaky voice trying not to freak out too much. Robin looks over looks back to me And points to Sammy.

"Him?" Roin asks curiously as I nod.

"Robin we need to do something about it." I tell Robin.

"I know and we will. I won't allow your friend to die so young."

I look over And just about the same time the Sheriff comes out and waits for everyone to show up.

"Now everyone is here because this child has been caught stealing food, which will not be tolerated," Said the Sheriff. As I looked over my shoulder to look at Sam, my heart started to pound.  "Robin, if there's anything you'd like to say, say it now."

Before Robin could even do anything, I stood up and threw a dagger at the sheriff's arm and soon after Robin shot at both guards.
