Most of what happened today was a blur. The only thing I remember was that someone had kidnapped me in the middle of the night. Since then was a very long ride in a carriage. I was under the impression that Guy or the sheriff had sent a message to someone and put a price on my head. While we rode silently, I looked out the window refusing to look at the people in the carriage with me.
I didn't know nor did I care who else was in the carriage or how many others were in it. After a minute or two, there was a conversation going on but I didn't care to listen. The only words I managed to hear was die and land. Once the carriage stopped, I looked at two of the people in front of me and they both were getting out. When they weren't paying attention, I got out as quietly as I could and tried to escape.
I didn't get very far because I got caught and was shoved back into it. I sighed and tried to think of other ways to get away from here. Before I knew it one man got back into the carriage and got as comfortable as he could.
"What am I doing here?" I asked flatly.
"The king has heard a great deal of you Prodigal Child and he has requested to see you." the man answered finally after a minute or two.
"The king?" I say not completely buying it. "But why would he want to see me? Isn't he in the Promise Land?"
"Only be knows why he wants to and yes he is." he answered as two other men got in and started moving again.
"I do have a name you know. Not that anyone cares though." I say.
None of them asked me much less give me a curious look of interest about what my name is. As exciting as supposedly meeting the king is I really didn't have much of an interest of meeting him. I started wondering if Robin or anyone in the group knew about this and was trying to keep their mouths shut until this happened.
When I woke up I immediately took notice that I was in a tent, and that I was sweating more than I normally would. I turned onto my back trying to figure out how long I've been asleep. I started debating whether or not I wanted to get up. After a got up and poked my head out of the entrance of the tent I was more confused than ever. I pulled my head back in and wipped the sweat off my forehead.
I turned around to see a small table finely covered with a royal blue covering with a gold plate completely filled with I food. Without hesitation I go to it and eat as much as I could.
"You must be starved half to death if your eating this fast." I spun fast with wide eyes seeing someone where the entrance to the tent is at.
I swallowed what was left in my mouth.
"And you are...?" I ask curiously.
"King Richard." he replied.
"So what do I owe the honor of being in the presence of the king?" I ask slowly as I stiffen up.
"I thought that the guards would have told you." said the king disappointedly.
"They only told me that you had an interest meeting me." I answered slightly suspicious.
I was more nervous than I thought I would be.
"Yes because I have something for you," I looked at him with a sudden interest. "Ah your interested now."
"Well obviously I'm interested why would I not be." I answered quickly.
Richard reached into his pocket as I watched curiously.
"Wait, whatever it is I really don't want it." I say before the king pulls whatever it is out of his pocket.
"Oh it's not for you, it's for you to give to Robin. Don't think I know you know him, I know you do." he says back.
"Wow, word really does travel fast." I say.
