"Saffron, Saffron," a voice softly whispered in her ear.

"Mmm," she moaned, not yet ready to open her eyes.

"C'mon baby," the voice continued to murmur and she felt a few kisses being gently pressed onto her neck.

"I'm still sleeping Charlie," she smirked, trying to ignore her husband.

"It's Christmas Saffy!" Charlie responded excitedly. Slowly saffron allowed her lids to separate and turned to look at her husband's grinning face.

"Merry Christmas then," Saffron smiled.

"Merry Christmas" Charlie smiled back. "You want to head down stairs? I reckon everyone is waiting on us."

"Alright, let's go" Saffron smiled, slightly groggily.

Hand in hand, they left the room together, heading down to the living room of the burrow. Saffron would never tire of Christmas with the Weasley family, with her family. Food, love and laughs. Every year was even more perfect than the last.

"There you two are. We've been waiting hours!" Ron exclaimed when the two came into view.

"Saffron needed a sleep in, shove off," Charlie grinned at his youngest brother.

"Now now, "Molly said rising from her seat. "Merry Christmas to the two of you"

She enveloped the two in a hug and gave each a kiss on the cheek before allowing them to take a seat.

Presents were passed around and Saffron grinned and slipped on her knitted sweater with a giant S on the front. She loved this gift. It was like wearing love to her, the time effort and care Molly put into it. She couldn't have asked for a better mother to be her in law.

Swapping gifts, Charlie loved his dragon scrapbook Saffron had put together. Their first year as a married couple, working with dragons all noted. And her dragon charmed bracelet couldn't have made her any happier.

It's safe to say in the first year and a bit of being married, the two had gotten, if possible, even more dragon crazy. Saffron had agreed to start work with dragons again and Charlie couldn't have been more amazed at her skills.

Few visits were made to the burrow, but one thing they promised was to be there for Christmas. Family time couldn't have been more important to them.

Their wedding had been big and beautiful, an autumn wedding. The leaves turning golden, everyone wearing their Sunday best and gathered in the burrow for another Weasley wedding.

Arthur walked her down the aisle. She couldn't have her own father so she had her new one. Everyone was happy. The day spent eating and laughing and Molly asking the two when there would be their own little Weasley on the way.

They both just laughed, neither ready for that commitment quite yet, but in the future.

Saffron had worn her hair back, she hadn't been bothered by her scar in a while. It didn't matter to her anymore.

Playing with her wedding ring, Saffron smiled at everyone as she looked around the room. Everyone smiling and Saffron had never felt more grateful for them all.

"You ok?" Charlie asked her, taking her hand into his.

"I'm just thankful," she smiled, giving her husband a quick peck on the cheek.

They spent the day, eating and telling stories of the year, Charlie and Saffron eager to tell everyone their stories about the dragons, Molly of course nearly passing out.

As the day came to be night, Charlie asked Saffron for a walk outside as the last ray of light shone.

"I would be most honoured, Saffron smiled, taking his arm and walking through the long grass outside. It was cold and snowing but Saffron didn't mind.
