Charlie and Saffron didn't seem to be speaking. It was new years even and neither had said a word to each other since the day after Christmas.
According to Charlie, Saffron was being a typical female and over reacting over nothing. There were bigger things to worry about then whether or not he had actually asked her out. He didn't see what the big deal was.
They kissed and that meant that something was instantly going on in their relationship. He didn't think it needed to be spelt aloud. He thought it was just known, no questions asked.
Saffron on the other hand thought off Charlie as being a typical male and not thinking. Seriously how hard was it to ask a simple question. Will you go out with me? How hard was that to say? Saffron didn't understand. They kissed, that was basically an invitation to ask her out, so why couldn't he? He obviously thought they were so what was so hard to clarify it then, and properly.
Everyone else noticed this two, and it impacted all of them.
Molly couldn't ask them to do a thing together or else it would end up in mess due to miscommunication.
Arthur couldn't speak to one of them without the other having some sort or sassy comment.
Ginny was frustrated with the fact that she couldn't have a conversation with either of them.
And the twins, well they had to put up with all of Charlie's complaining.
I had only been a few days but already it was putting more of a downer on them.
"So what exactly happened between you and Charlie? Ginny asked that morning.
Saffron shrugged. Not talking to Charlie made her go back into her shell. She felt uncomfortable with the situation and hated it, but her stubbornness was forcing her not to talk to him.
"Oh come on," Ginny said, not having any of it. "There must be a pretty big reason to make the two of you ignore each other."
"It's silly," Saffron shook her head. She knew it was silly. Stupid and ridiculous and really and pointless. But she was waiting for Charlie to realise this before she said anything.
"You can tell me," Ginny said and Saffron sighed. She felt embarrassed by it. She knew she'd overreacted but she had been embarrassed and flustered and acted in the moment.
"It's my fault really," Saffron said, bringing her mug to her lips.
