Faye's POV

Inside me, something broke, as if I were drowning and suddenly my head broke the surface of the water, finally able to take a breath of air.

The pressure of his lips on mine caused an almost burning sensation to spread from his mouth and wherever his hands were meeting my body. Lifting me up slightly, Miles arms were wrapped tightly around my waist, keeping me against him. Closing my eyes I drew my arms around his neck, moving his head closer to me.

Something inside of me was jumping out of joy, I could feel a different power. Miles moved to invade my mouth, but I fought back. I loved the feeling that I get when I'm in power and closer to him. I pulled away and immediately Miles inhaled through his nose.

He looked around trying to find something. He moved his head closer to me and inhaled at the place where my shoulder meet my neck.

"Something's off about you." I couldn't speak. My mind was all over the place.

I just kissed the guy who kidnapped me and he is also a werewolf.

Well fuck.

"Are you okay Faye? You're shaking." I nodded my head slowly. A new energy I needed to let out.

"I need to go for a run." I walked over to the door, throwing on my tennis shoes. I heard Miles behind me. I opened the door and took off.

I ran at a fast speed that didn't seem natural. I ran away. I ran from the lake house down to the lake side. I ran on the shoreline. Down along it I leaped from roots to rocks. A smile found its way to my lips.

I heard steps from behind me, I looked over to see Miles right behind me.

I made a sharp right and went into the woods.

"Are you kidding, this is my kind of running!" Miles yelled.

An energy erupted and I couldn't contain it. A loud pop came from my left knee. I clasped to the ground. I saw behind me that the ground was flat.

I didn't trip on anything.

I bit my tongue and hit the ground in frustration.

The energy was still coursing through me and I couldn't get it out. Another loud pop came from my right knee.

"Faye!" I looked up to see Miles, he scooped me up and looked me over.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked as black spots clouded my vision.

"To Diana."

Diana's POV

I can't believe that he's acting like such a spoiled brat. He's over 400 years old, apparently, he should not be acting this way at all.

Walking over to the bed, I slump down, pulling the covers up over my head. Oh, he makes me so angry.

Suddenly, I heard two light knocks at the door, like someone was tapping with only a few fingers. I pull the covers back down.

"Diana, are you awake?" Arthur's back, great. If I don't answer, maybe he'll go away. Instead, I heard the door open ever so softly. I laid as still as possible, trying to look asleep. I felt the bed dip, as he sat next to me. I don't know what he thinks he's going to accomplish by doing this but he better not just stay in here, and watch me, like a creeper.

"Diana, I know you're awake. I can hear your uneven breathing. Please talk to me." Damn, slowly I open my eyes to see his head leaning over me.

"What do you want Arthur?" I ask him, he leans back a little and I sit up.
