Faye's POV

Hearing Miles say that, it broke my heart. I can't believe my mom would do something like this, but it does give me some answers. I have always felt different from everyone around me, it makes sense that I am different from them, even Diana. Diana, I need to see her, to tell her about all of this shit.

"Miles where is the border from here?"

"To the south, why?" He pointed in the right direction and I nodded. I focused on my hands, remembering them as paws and then I saw the same paws from before. Surprisingly, this time it didn't hurt as much, changing I mean.

"Faye, no please. Come back inside." Miles slowly crept towards me, but I had already made up my mind. I opened my wolf mouth and tried to scream Diana's name, but it just came out as a howl. Grabbing the blanket in my mouth, I took off running, heading to the south.

"FAYE!" I'm sorry Miles, I have to see Diana. Trying again, the howl was muffled because of the blanket in my mouth, I could smell the creek. I'm close now. As I broke through the tree line I saw her standing there, she spotted me and I paced back and forth, waiting for her to know it's me.

"Faye?" She looked shocked. I jumped a little and wagged my tail. Slowly, I tried changing back again. Remembering what Miles said, I pictured my hands, my human ones. As I opened my eyes, the blanket fell from my now human mouth and I quickly wrapped it around my shoulders.

"Oh my fuck, you have got to be Fucking kidding me." Diana whispered. She leaned against a tree and rested there. Fanning her face with her hand. "I'm gonna faint."

"No!" I scrambled to my feet and ran threw the creek with the blanket wrapped around my shoulders. "Don't you fucking faint bitch. I need you right now."

"You're a werewolf..."

"Yep."

"And when did this happen?"

"How?"

"Um..." I looked up at the woods and saw Miles creep out of the forest line. He leaned against a tree and looked at me with black eyes. Filled with lust and anger. I glared at him.

"You're rude. I told you not to leave, and you disobeyed me... AGAIN!"

"It's not my fault you fell in love with me and tried to make me join your pack. Let alone forget to tell me that I was a Fucking monster!"

"If you just listened to me for 5 minutes..."

His face changed when he was hit in the face with a rock. He went from serious to absolutely confused. He looked around till another rock hit him. He glared at Diana.

"You mother fucking son of a bitch!" He got hit with another rock. "You." Rock. "Son." Rock. "Of." Rock. "A."

Arthur came in a flash and picked up Diana off the ground. Her face was fuming.

"You know what? Both of you are sons of bitches!" she shouted. "You." She pointed towards Arthur. "Stop picking me up and let me run to Faye." Arthur put her down and she threw a rock at Miles "You. You turned her into this thing. Fix it!"

"I didn't..." He stumbled. "I m-mean... What I was trying to do was.." Another rock was thrown. Arthur picked her up and pulled her arms at her sides.

"What did I just walk into?" Arthur asked looking at all of us. I shifted into my wolf and slowly grabbed the blanket and walked over to the other side of the creek. I dropped the blanket. Diana's heartbeat was fast.

"Ah, so we were right." Arthur nodded his head at his own statement. "You need to calm down Diana. Miles didn't turn her, she was always like this." He rubbed her arms, I heard her breath catch.

"Bullshit, she would've told me!" Diana looked at me tears in her eyes. I shifted and stood with the blanket covering my shoulders. I looked at her. "You were lying to me? For all of the time we were friends?" I shook my head.

"No, Diana." Her face showed regret. "I didn't know. I didn't know I was this monster."

"For the record we aren't monsters, just a thing that defies nature." I glared at Miles.

"You can't just say that you didn't know what you were all of your life. That's bullshit."

"It wasn't me, it was my family. They hid it from me. My medication... it held the wolf back. I've been living with a creature dying inside of me." I took a breath. "Now that she's free, she is as happy as ever."

"Your family hid this from you?"

"I don't understand it either, but it happened, she didn't tell me and tried to hide this. Please believe me, I swear I didn't know, I would have told you if I had known."

"I believe you." I ran across the creek towards her and she hugged me.

"Wait..." I spoke slowly, Diana pulled away from me. I looked at Arthur then Miles. "Something doesn't fit in. How did you both know that I was this thing and didn't tell us?" Miles looked at Arthur.

"When you were at my home and started throwing vases, 43 to be exact."

"Who owns that many vases?" Diana asked.

"Miles did, but not anymore." I spoke up.

"When you were late to take your medication I could smell your wolf. She was hyper and couldn't stand being held back. You being 18, I could tell that you aren't an early bloomer, but your wolf was fighting to get out. When you took your medication, I couldn't sense her anymore. She was stuck."

"To see if his theory was right we had to keep your mind off the medication. I was trying to keep Diana busy so she wouldn't remember."

"Because your wolf senses her mate and has been suppressed for so long, it was too easy for her once she was able to gain her strength. That's why every time you ran, your legs would pop. Because you were trying to shift."

"That explains why your hand is healed." Diana whispered.

"Yes." Arthur spoke.

"I have a question." Diana spoke up again. Miles nodded telling her to continue.

"Why do you have 43 vases, and how long did you leave her alone for her to smash all of those vases?"
