Diana's POV

"Wait, when you say modestly, what on earth do you mean?" I stood still waiting for an answer as Arthur came to a stop in front of me.

"Now, keep an open mind. I meant to say more appropriately, you had me change clothes to fit in with the outside world and now I'm asking the same of you." He held out his arms and I reached out to take the dress from him.

"Before you say no, please just go try it on. You can take a shower if you would like but I just want you to see it on. Alright?" He looked right into my eyes, with his cool ice blue orbs. It took everything I had not to stand there and stare into his eyes all day.

"Al-alright, I'll try it on." As I stepped away, I saw Arthur shake his head. I turned and walked towards the bathroom. Shutting the door, I held the dress up and saw just what he wants me to wear. The dress itself is slim at the top with a black ink like look that continues to the waist. It blends to white, making the dress flowy with it's lazy sleeves that just rests off the shoulders.

Pulling on the dress I fill it out as the soft fabric takes it shape on my body. I stepped out of the bathroom to see Arthur talking on the phone. I take this moment to comb my fingers through my hair. The dress looks modern yet old fashioned.

"Perfect, sounds great." Arthur hung up the phone then turned around to look at me. "You look breathtakingly beautiful." I felt the blush rise to my cheeks.

"What do you have planned?" I asked Arthur.

He held out his hand. "Well my Crescent Goddess... come with me and you shall find out." He smiled as I grabbed his hand and he guided me out of his bedroom.

"What did you just call me?"

"Hm, I didn't say anything."

"Yes, you did. What did you say?" I said coming to a stop, tugging on his arm, making him stop too.

"Nothing. I didn't say anything." He pulled me forward.

"I'm not stupid you know."

"I know that."

"Then tell me what you said."

"I was... I was complimenting the moon. Isn't it charming?" Arthur gestured out the window that was next to us. I looked out the window and saw the moon that was setting from last night. "It's a Crescent."

"Oh, um... that's very nice." I answered back, being a little sarcastic. I know I heard something different though. He lead me through the large house, showing me many ways that I could get easily lost.

"I wanted to show you this room first." He opened a large door and guided me inside. Book shelves lined the walls, from the floor to the ceiling, I gasped at all of the leather bindings.

"What are all of these books about?"

"I was trying to figure you out the past few days..." he walked further into the room, I followed him eagerly, "and you seem like a woman who wants to know the truth. Someone who can't take a lie and will do anything to achieve the truth."

"So?" I asked him extremely confused.

"Each of these books are a take on what really happened in history. Some of it written by me, most of it by others."

"So these are all journals?"

"In a way yes. These all hold the world's history. I was just taking a swing, to find something that you and I both would enjoy. I mean I love telling these stories." I turn to him with a huge grin on my face, rushing over to him I took his hands and jumped a little.

"You mean to tell me, that all of history is recorded there!? It's just how it really happened? Like the fall of Rome, or the Salem Witch Trials, or The American Revolution?" I waited impatiently for an answer, his face showed astonishment at my excitement. He nodded his head yes and I jumped up and down, still holding his hands.

"Were you there to see the Trojan War? Did you get to meet William Shakespeare? What happened to the people of Roanoke Colony? Can you tell me what happened to the contents of the Library of Alexandria?" I rushed the questions out as fast as I could, not even trying to control my enthusiasm. Arthur just stared at me for a few seconds with this funny look on his gorgeous face. Then he sort of blinked and smiled like I had just told him the secret to life.

"I had no idea you were such a fan of history, my Crescent Goddess. I can tell you many things, Yes I was there to witness the fall of the Roman Empire, and let me tell you, Rome did not fall in a day." I laughed at the way he sounded, like he was some teacher trying to explain something. His ice blue eyes twinkled and he smiled even wider after he heard me.

"This is fantastic, you could tell me everything I've wanted to see with my own eyes. What was your favorite moment in time?" He looked down at our joined hands, as if he just noticed. I gave his hands a reassuring squeeze and he met my eyes once again.

"I'll tell you whatever you'd like to know. As for my favorite moment, I'd have to say this moment, right here with you." I think I stopped breathing, he leaned down, his face only inches from mine. My eyes were glued to his, I watched as they grew a darker blue swirling with emotions that no one had ever looked at me with before. Within seconds, his cool mouth was on mine, my eyes snapped shut.

His cool lips took over my mind. Why am I still feeling this pull towards him. The man who kidnapped me. My best friend, right this minute, is spending the day with her kidnapper.

We should be sent to a mental institution.

Something inside me snapped. I could hear twigs snapping in my ears. I pulled away from the kiss and held my hands to my ears. The snapping was getting louder and louder.

"Diana?" Arthur lifted me up and placed me on a couch. "Are you okay?"

My whole body hurt, as if my joints and bones were popping and breaking.

I opened my eyes looking at Arthur. His eyes widened as he gazed into my eyes.

"Your eyes they're..." A loud howl broke through the room. I sat up scared. This howl sounded different. It was calling for me. I got up and ran. Listening to the howl as it repeats itself. I found my out of the mansion.

Arthur appeared before me. "Diana, you need to fight it."

"No, No." I shook my head as I pushed him away and ran toward the howl once again. Arms wrapped around my waist as I was lifted into the air.

"No Diana. You need to stay away from them, come back home."

"No!" I shouted, as I did so, I flew out of his hold and sent Arthur the other way. I landed on my knees, instantly feeling regret. I opened my mouth to shout for Arthur till another howl, a closer howl, broke through the forest.

I ran again, my bare feet slapping the ground as I ran. I came to a clearing, seeing the creek that separated Arthur and Miles. I was breathing heavy. I looked into the woods till I saw a large wolf come through the woods with a large blanket in its mouth.

This wolf was brown with blonde streaks and about the size of a Fiat car. I watched it closely as it paced back and forth, it's eyes studying me. I focused on the eyes, they were familiar, because I grew up looking into those eyes.

"Faye?"
