Chapter five (Adelia)
I wake up with my head on Pan's lap. My first instinct is to jolt up, but instead I remain there, and look into his light green eyes.
"Ah, you're awake." He casually states.
I touch my face and wince, where the bruise is getting bigger and bigger. The pain causes me to wince.
"You know, its going to happen again if you try to escape, except worse this time."
"I don't plan on it." I lie.
"Good girl." he chuckles.
At that I remain silent, but theres a question in my head.
"Why am I out of the cage?" I ask, somewhat frightened of the outcome.
"You where having a nightmare." he states, looking at me closely. I don't respond, because I know what he'll ask next. "What was it about?" he asks, wide-eyed and curious.
"You." I answer, looking at the ground.
"I'm extremely offended!" he exclaims, sarcasm oozing out of every word. He puts his hand to his heart, and chuckles at his own dramatization.
He pats my head, and I wince. I push myself off the ground and onto my feet.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asks, raising his eyebrow.
I turn, and sprint away, just as Pan hops to his feet.
"Third times a charm." I think to myself.
Besides, this time, I had a plan.
