400 Poem Challenge (completed December 26, 10:15am)

20 minutes

the procedure lasted

but twenty minutes

just a second in life's time

but now comes the hard part

the waiting and waiting

tormenting the mind

it didn't all go bad

but not all good

so i have to wait for answers

its funny, in retrospect

that 20 minutes

dictates more or fewer years
